  • My Dad flew 48 combat missions with the 345th Bomb Group in the South Pacific. He was a Gunner / Radio operator. He flew with two crews that were shot down and all killed, he was very lucky. I wonder if this airplane flew with the 345th 500th Squadron?? My Mom and Dad are still doing well living near St.Louis Mo… I will show this to my Dad. He has a record of each flight and I think they recorded the aircraft numbers they flew… All of their B25s had solid nose with .50 cal guns

  • My father was an armorer and mechanic with the 396th Bomb Squadron, 41st Bombardment Group of the 7th Air Force on Okinawa, I vaguely recalled that he said one of the B-25 bombers he worked on was the Tondelayo. I have also found, however, that the Tondelayo was not with his group, but the 345th Bombardment Group. Perhaps he had mentioned it due to its famous record and my memory of his having worked on it is incorrect. The video is fascinating.

  • Omg. I love this plane..

  • My dad flew a Mitchell during WWII; I tried to win a flight on the Tondalay a few years ago, but my essay didn't win. I haven't been able to afford the $300+that it costs to ride.

  • What's the name of the music in this? Who wrote it?

  • Cool!

  • dude, this same excact plane keeps on flying over my house : )
