Why didn't rugby become popular in Germany like it did in France and Italy?

@like2surf It was popular in Germany before WWII, but Hitler removed the sport as it was 'too English' and then killed like 10,000 rugby players. The sport never properly recovered after that.

Ive always been interested in smaller nations,Im Northern Irish but i dont really think Ireland should be one team, although we are unstopable :P

@like2surf We are world beaters in soccer, we are world beaters in boxing and golf, the Irish wont let us fly out flag at games or sing our national anthem they are bigoted it is not fair, they even refused to play a game in ravenhill until we took down the ulster flag.

@ConCon75 I think Northern Ireland produces great stuff considering it's size but World beaters in Soccer? Mate, I don't want to disrespect Northern Ireland but you're ranked 56th in the world. Even Ireland are ranked higher and it's our third sport( and we're crap). No, the Ulster Flag is flown high in ravenhill, it's the Northern Irish flag that's not flown. I'll concede if Irish games are played at ravenhill then the NI Flag should be flown as Ireland's flag is flown when played in Dublin.

@like2surf We have beaten spain 3-2 we have beaten england 1-0 we have beaten the germans too for a country with an amature league and only a ,million and 3 quarter population thats pretty good, and even though soccer is the third sport in Ireland you still have a professional league.
