@kimmer6 Harpswell Lobsterboat races have been going on sense 1989. The winner gets bait for the lobster for free as well as 500 dollars.Living in Maine is tough. Don't bash on one of the few things that everyone enjoys. Lobstering is tough all by itself try fishing where you aren't suppose to and you'll find some traps missing. One trap goes for 300 dollars by the way so 4 traps you in for a grand. Also you might get a shotgun pulled on you.

@Lobsterlady2362 yes the first in boat race was the 901 hp and over class against Uncles UFO. the second in boat race was the diesel free for all.if you seach "lobsterboat race #2" it's video taken in the stern of the Jarsulan in the diesel free for all.i'm in my father's boat Starlight Express on the starboard side of the starter boat.if you watch closely you can see the strong accelleration the Express has at about .38-.40 sec. mark.
alfred has a really nice sailin boat! idk if ive not seen him at a race atleast watchin in the last 2 years. i wish he would have had more time to get the work done on his motor to race us in deer isle. galen and i loved the sound of that boat when it would slow down lol. hopefully next year we will get a chance to race one another for the hell of it. its to bad they dont put more videos up of alfred's and are boat. well goodluck with the races!
