@moffat27 I'm just guessing here, but i imagine that yellow and black cover on the corner of the wall contained a sensor, that when hit, instantly stops the rotating disk which would allow operator to instruct the car to move readjust their position with no damage done.

@boner2008 Actually, I'd hope for an OPTICAL sensor that spots the car's perimeter(s) are "off the table of rotation" waaaaay before a bumper (mostly made of very flexible plastics these days) ever even gets a chance at being bruised by a pad type sensor.
