  • i have the same gun and i hate to admit the kick is nasty, standing up its fine but prone man that really works the shoulder lol

  • i dont think you need that shoulder protection...im 14 i have one and its not bad

  • @450rProductions608 i can't stand fags that tries to impress the viewers by stating their age. you're probably a 20 year old punk looking for thumbs up to fill you empty shallow useless life.

  • @blaziankhmer yea sure look at my vids you idiot...do i look twenty? NO!

  • @450rProductions608 motherfucker, do you think i would want to watch your videos or look at your ugly mug? get real kid, go fuck yourself.

  • @blaziankhmer i cant believe there are dumb asses such as yourself that are such dicks when it comes to one person putting ONE comment of something on a video that had no point intended to call this guy shooting a pussy or to call anyone a pussy

  • @450rProductions608 cry me a river child.

  • They sell em at the gun show for 88.00 covered in Cosmoline or 120.00 cleaned. I am going to get one soon.

  • shoulder pad come on dude it ain't that bad

  • It's a beautiful

  • lol.. I don't think he NEEDED the pad, but was just trying it out.. the nagant simply doesn't kick that hard.

  • it disn't kick ... i have one

  • You guys know in Vietnam, they used to shoot water buffalo with this round 7.62x54R, in Africa they shot wild elephants with it. In Russian they shot polar bear with it too.

Cheap gun but not cheap quality and can compare with expensive of rich American 30-06 and .308 (the rich man's rifle) which is today people try to get away from the expensive round that American made.

  • @CharlieDoan Slave labor sure kept the price of Soviet stuff down.

  • why are you using pad? thats for girls only.

  • Wow, the bolt action is waaaay smoother than mine. I have to like hit it to get it to move, and I've cleaned and lubed the chamber alot. But I love my M44:)

  • tuck the butt into your shoulder a bit more. You've got it really high up so the bottom little corner of the stock is jabbing you in the titty when ya shoot man! Nice gun though, just trying to help ya get a better grip in the rifle and it's recoil haha

  • Your an idiot

  • @cmphillips97 you're 12

  • it can kick!

  • my favorite bolt action rifle..for the price, you absolutely cannot beat it. and its battle proven

  • was that the explosive specialist from tropic thunder!?

  • Ya I just love them flame balls. Mine does the same thing! Fun Gun!

  • yes its probably in russia. the russians in ww2 used it. great rifle.

  • GRANT ME THE SECRETS TO THY DIVINE CURLY LOCKS

  • i see this rifle for around 200 where I am from (california) at like BIG 5... i want to get this rifle since its cheap...im wondering if its easy to maintain or find rounds for it

  • So much negative commentary - god damn. I think that rifle looks great, man! That stock really sets the whole thing off, and it looks as though it's in excellent shape. These M44s are great little carbines. Thanks for the video.

  • Really? It doesn't kick that much... You must be very soft. Like a woman

  • hold the gun tighter to ur shoulder when u shoot it

  • the recoil on an M44 is not THAT bad, im 16 and i dont need a shoulder pad.

  • Not going to complain about the recoil pad, but you worried about shoulder and ear protection, but ignored eye protection?

  • I guess I like to feel the kick. But word of advice put a little lean forward into your stance and bring the butt of your stock a tad bit lower. That way your ready for full recoil and use your body as the kick pad absorbing the kick. It will stop the gun from coming up and hitting your cheek like that. Improper stance allows the gun to come up and rough your cheek up. But your cheek should be butted upto the stock while firing. Please don't be offended just trying to help.

  • LOL Nice kick pad

  • oh look he has a pussy pad

  • @collateral1207 I'm not calling anybody a pussy and I'm not agreeing with you. But I shot my friends M44 about 20 times and it really didn't bother me at all. Just saying maybe some people are sensitive or just not properly shouldering their rifle. My 12 gauge mossberg kicked me pretty hard and once I started shouldering it right I was able to shoot slugs for hours with no discomfort.

  • @crest2598 i got the 91/30 and can shoot it all day long with a tank shirt on

  • @collateral1207 Exactly.

  • My dad owns one and I first shot it in 7th grade, whole clip. The thing is not bad at all you don't need the shoulder protection...

  • @SuperMasterofpuppetz you can shoot it longer

  • Seriously? It doesn't kick that bad, especially when you actually hold it against your shoulder. Besides if you think that kicks try shooting a .50 cal. muzzleloader.

  • Dude, hold the buttstock closer to your sholder... then you wont need the protective thingy... im 16, and even i know that..

  • Where did you buy the shoulder protection? and how much? Thank you for your Infos

  • @CharlieDoan It was a gift. Probably from Cabellas

  • @TheTurtlehead i find it really funny that people whinge and complain about guys using these padded shoulder guards when competing in shooting comps. What people dont realize is the fact that when the Russians (and others that used these kinds of rifles) were shooting them they had thick jumpers on! they werent just wearing a shirt! So i say that if you dont want to end up with a blackened and bruised shoulder why not use one of these?

  • @thehodge168 You are correct! It wasn't THAT bad, but I had been firing all kinds of guns ALL day and I'm not exactly 18 any more. I don't wear that pad anymore but when I did it actually did help.

  • @CharlieDoan what a wuzz, whats with chicken s__t pad? real men hold the gun tight and love shooting it.

  • I have one too. Yes, they have quick a kick, but the muzzle flash is worth it.

  • 7.62x54 doesnt kick that hard

  • How much do they cost?

  • @MrBamaboy97 Around a $100. They are inexpensive and inexpensive to shoot too. The 7.62x54R ammo is really cheap, as of 11-4-10

  • @TheTurtlehead my dad bought two out of a magazine for 79.99 a piece

  • @MrBamaboy97 about a $100

  • @TheTurtlehead 91/30s are around $100, the carbines go for a little more, but not a huge amount more...

  • im 14 got mine today, beautiful rifle. russians make the best guns :)

  • Comment removed

  • LOL.... the purse. Love the comment. Packs a PUNCH for purse man. :D

  • is the mosin caliber a 308?

  • @1062itaska - As it says in the video it's 7.62x54R

  • @1062itaska 7.39x54R

  • @TheTurtlehead 7.62x54R

  • @TheTurtlehead 7.62x54R

  • @TheTurtlehead 7.62x54r

  • I wonder if he's wearing high heels to match that purse.

  • @freeed - Oh god I wish! That would be AWESOME!!!!

  • I assume a MOSIN NAGANT is made in Russia, considering the namesake. otherwise good vid.

  • @BoBtheparrot7 - Yeah, it has the old Soviet Union stamp on it. Built in 1946

  • 1:18 PRICELESS FACE.

  • this video does no justice to how loud those bastard really are! awesome vid. nice rifle

  • @imthbst - Totally agree!

  • @imthbst lol so true and with steel core rounds 20 for 10$

  • dont hold the gun in the air like that if you want to be safe just wait to load it till youre ready

  • @Alexn1067 Precisely my thoughts.

  • Nice rifle specially if you find one with a nice bore. The kick is not that bad if you hold it the right way, but myself mine is done up like a steyr scout rifle. Remember the trigger work and it is a nail driver!!!

  • they didnt stop making them in 1948 btw, mine was made in 1955
