Jain Malkin: How is evidence-based design different?

I am in total agreement that projects have to be analyzed after construction from the user prospective by the architects/designers. When I proposed this years ago to the firm that I was working for, I was met with 100% objection by the partners, which I found odd. I do believe that many many architects' egos get in the way of learning, and it hinders our field from growing into something more credible than it is to many.
