@124kikyo actually, Yugi never has been in the shadow realm. His soul was taken to sacrifice to the laviathan, but that's different. I do agree with your point. Usually Yugi is the one always being tormented and Yami has to save his hide. That's why the last season is important. It's the first time that Yami is the one being tormented and Yugi is the one to save him. Opposite effect.
