Actually, "long time no see" didn't really become a common phrase in the games until Sonic Heroes. I think the only time it's said in this game is when Tails says it to Sonic after they meet in the beginning of the game.

You skipped alot of the story. Yeah, the game is pretty short, I was able to beat in two days, because I started at night and played it again after the weekend. But it can be done easily in one day if you rush through it.

I don't get why it took me so much longer when I was 11 yrs old at the time when this game was released. I thought it was a really long game, but now, I realized how freaking short it is.
