Good review, however did not mention that the Kindle 3 has twice the memory capacity plus longer battery capacity between charges. Kindle 3 can be used for audio books or can play your own background music, too. I prefer having the qwerty keyboard, even though it makes the device a bit bigger. I won't upgrade to the 4, but I might consider the touch version when we get it in the UK.

@nikiforos6 Yes, It's like reading a book since it doesnt use a backlight or any sort of light generator in the screen itself. The downside is that you need to have a lamp nearby if you want to read in the dark (just like a real book).

I heard that the contrast between the text and background is not so good, so the text is harder to read. I also heard that there is "ghosting" where there are some letters left on the screen occasionally and sometimes, there would be some lines that would be lighter than the other lines on a page. Is this really an annoyance on this new kindle or could it be ignored?

@ajax201000 i personally don't have one yet but will probaly get one..i think if you have the books e.t.c. on your computer you can transfer them to the kindle via usb. You can NOT transfer them with a memory card because the kindle does not have a card or external memory slot..hope this helps :)
