  • Such a great film, although I wonder how many people actually understand it ...

  • I might sound a bit dumb, but I didn't get the film. Did the guy in the end see that the girl he dumped would be coming after him, so he went on with the new girl? Or did he only see being with the new girl and didn't realize that his ex was coming for him?

  • @indiehunk The moral of the story is dont mess with time or fate, if you do you may not always see the outcome to its finest point ( the girl that said no, coming back after him)

  • Little fagot

  • amazing, one of my favorites

  • wow... sad ending (for that girl) yet still good!

  • very beautiful thank you!

I cannot quite understand why i feel the salesman to be slightly sinister though, anyone else have that feeling while watching it?

  • i agree.

i felt his performance gave the impression of being sinister plus the general tone of the film and the way it was shot made me think the salesman was up to something

  • I don't think he was sinister. He was just trying to help. And toward the end when he realized what mistake he had made. I believe he regretted it. If you know what is going to happen in the future there would be no enjoyment in life.

  • awesome... love it!

  • That was amazing. I must add the low key high contrast lighting was a little dark and also the random cut of the of the song to credits didn't work. But other wise, I loved it.

  • Heartbreaking.

  • make more films! they are all superb!

  • Someone posted what i think is the best explanation for this film which is "If you can see the future then you will never be able to see what you have missed in the past" kudos to whoever wrote it on this post forum, i just can't find your post again.

  • damn gurd ending

  • This is one of the very best short films I have ever seen. My jaw dropped at the end. This film is perfect. I wish you guys all the luck in the world.

  • this is great. serious kudos to you all.

  • Jesus Ted and crew.

This is so heartbreaking. Between this and "A Thousand Words" you're really inspiring me to try to take a career in film as well as music.

Keep up this amazing stuff, I really can't wait until I see a feature film with this much impact the entire time =]

  • kudos ted chung and the whole cast! dunno if you will ever read this, but i am so happy right now that i accidently discovered this clip + "thousand words", which is another clip from ted. both flicks are a brilliant piece of work, they are so lovely and full of meaning.

  • I guess the moral is that you can never really know what the future holds but also (referring to the female character) that if you find love you should try to hold on to it.

  • Even if you can see what the future brings you will never be able to see what you missed.

  • OWNED LOL she ran in too late dumb bitch shoulda said yes.. She needs to stop playing games

  • i like this very much

  • Thats why you don't deal with the devil..

  • Omg ;oo

  • It's my favorate clip that ive ever seen. The story makes people moved. The ending makes people fall into a deep thought. In a word, this is a brilliant present.

  • klasse.

  • oh noooooo!!!!!!

  • echt gut, comme dirait l'autre.

  • wow... wahnsinnig gut!

  • Absolut fantastisch.

  • brilliant!

  • amazing

  • amazing

  • pretty convenient to have one of those aye?

    ...or maybe not....

  • That's to bad for the gurl at the end. I feel sorry for her. But I would like to have a box like that...hehehe

  • tgzhfhfg

  • hamma

  • hamma

  • that really is brilliant

  • Das war wonderschun! Danke

Traurig.. :,( hoffentlich haben die beiden sich wieder vereint :)

  • wow this is artistic and beautiful what video editing did you use?

  • wow that was so romiac

  • Romantic, that was sad! She came back for him, but he left! Thats why we shouldn't look into the future, we might miss something!

  • this seemed like a clip from a movie...like it seemed filmed by those hollywood cameras and not s omething like a handheld one

  • Clever and cunning creation, loved it...........

  • WUNDERVOLL

  • wanderful story, gtreat cast, delightful but yet sad score, unmistaken cinimatography and nice timing....it nearly brought my tears to exposure...keep it up

  • oh my god that was sad

it's true: if we tamper with even a minute of destiny, just think of what won't or will, unfold? The guy would've been better off not ever speaking to the businessman- it ruins lives just as easily as it gratifies them.

  • ich kan vol scheiße englisch also

  • Look this video plc -1KyFNcyBro

  • hah! Excellent!

  • was is des sinn des films?

  • great

  • Awesome! I'm absolutely impressed.

    Congratulations!

    :)

  • wow...very good...

  • i dont get it

  • ...how do you not get it?

  • A corrected version of ON TIME where the music continues through the beginning of the credits as originally intended has also been posted by BerlinaleTC. This version also has adjusted picture and sound levels for those of who had difficulty viewing and/or hearing the film.

  • Great short!!..what kind of camera was used though?...i want one^_^

  • Realy great short-Movie!!!

But it's such a said ending....

    Very great Work!

  • In the short movie world is rare to find a good story which is not about desolation or dark situations. I like the style. Bravo

  • You can download a high resolution Quicktime version of ON TIME at cinevate com.

On the homepage look to the right and under "Latest Brevis Footage" you will see a link for "ON TIME" - from the Berlin Film Festival.

  • vaiment superbe !

  • its a story

  • Tommy, I think they continue in English as a nod to the probable viewing audience on YouTube. But I believe this is a German production. Exceptionally well made, I might add. Caught my interest quickly and didn't drag things out. Made a cool point. And excellent production value.

  • i just dont really get, why they at the beginning r always changing the language.

    can someone tell me?

  • Because they're in an airport in Germany and not sure what language the other might speak.

  • they´re both speaking german but this parts you don´t understand are less important to understand what the film wants to express

  • great

  • great =)

  • very good

  • ahh loved it!!!

  • Concisely plotted, adroitly performed and impeccably executed through the remarkable visual aptitude of the director... Nothing short of brilliant.

  • :_( good film

  • Brilliant!!

  • Hey. That was pretty good

  • Loved the film! Truly awesome, with a terrific plotline. I would like to see a sequel to this, maybe even make it a movie! :)

    BTW, what is that song?

  • guerreroaurinegro, ur damn right!

  • ohh pandora's box very sneaky sis

  • The best of the 4

  • Great movie.

  • the music should go on with the credits.. but very good though

  • I did enjoy the video but there is one question I have. If the man with the briefcase is showing the other guy the "future", then does that not mean that all that was supposed to happen anyway?

  • Well, if you recall the suit case showed how the girl's coffee was going to spill. The man with the suit case said to take advantage of the moment, then the other guy saved the coffee. So, I guess it showed the future was not set in stone. So I think that maybe it wasn't, but I'm not sure...

  • The suitcase shows the future as if nobody has access to it.

  • good story...great acting

  • o snap

if only she'd have had one of those breifcases, shed have seen it coming.

  • amazing,wonderful,like a moracle. i love it

  • Very good story. and the lighting really set the mood along with the score.

  • Predictable. Well lit though.

  • hell yeah, it was good. i didn't expect the ending tho, id love to see more

  • WOW i would be pissed LOL!

  • all i have to say is wow... one of the best shorts ive seen in a while, im definatly impressed, what else do u have?

  • hay

  • a student film???? wow, kick azzz!

  • This was Awesome. I might have second thoughts every time i wish i could see the future so i can change it.

  • absolutely beautiful story..well directed..8)

  • omggggg so well written!!

  • that was cute!

  • lol, Stupid Bitch!!

  • It seems like many people want to make every minute meaningful, and they ignore the principle of "time", for which you can hope and wait but never chase.

  • I love how the music just stops at the end credits. all i can say is thats wat she gets for sayin no

  • i liked it

  • daaaaaangg.... that was nice to watch :)

  • excellent work. can't wait to see further than 30 seconds into the future at what you all will become in the filmmaking world!

  • audio was a little hard to hear. might want to fix that

  • could use some better intro/ending credits, but other than that... very well done.

  • im pretty sure the main message lies between the intro and the credits, which ultimately puts them into useless form so really having a superbly done intro and ending seems pointless to me, besides i see absolutely nothing wrong with whatever they've got up there.

  • That's why you never mess with the future!

  • very good..gave me goosebumps

  • i loved it, the ending makes your heart sink. wonderfull video

  • Excellent. Well, boyo, ya can't f**k with Mother Nature.

  • this is the greatest video i've seen in a while

seriously, I will physically hurting in shock at the ending... brilliant

  • Well-produced.

    I guess.

  • Very well written! If he hadn't seen the future would he have married the one who said no? And would he be better off one way or the other? Again, very good!

  • That was Amazing! nice Work!

  • Spooky

  • awesome!

  • *claps*

That's what film making is all about. Fantastic.

  • at this point i can't imagine that whoever posted this is reading comments--considering that once you're featured it's a one-way ticket to a combination of douche-baggery and spam on the discussion board--but i want to say that i really appreciate that someone took the time and effort to make something like this. impressive and touching.

  • Zzz

  • i liked it

  • How about next time you try to do something good and original.

  • i just finished a short film. do u like it?

  • fucking heartbreaking, and kinda original

  • Good ending, forced writing, the first shot is a film school cliche. Acting- ok, I guess it's a good student film.

Script: "Left front pocket" is kind of awkward as his "advantage" gained by the suitcase.

  • That's terribly sad..but very well made. Bravo.

  • WOW!!! That was amazing!

  • v nice

  • loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it

  • whoa. Love it!

  • "Evangelist Dillon Gentry", check it out, is this guy for real? anyone know?

  • brilliant work!

  • WOW, really really amazing!

  • That was amazingly well done, and incredibly sad! I hope no one ever invents anything like that. Time is not something to be messed with.

  • Please tell me, what kind of camera are you using, exactly?

  • am i the only one who feels sad?

  • pretty good, i liked it, and im betting it wasnt very easy to make either.

  • niiicee

  • damn.....that was good

  • fantastic short, clear message, nice camera work, good music.

  • very well done!

  • hey look up the video guitar hero rap it is sooo awsome

  • nice piece of film. interesting and kept me wanting to know what happened next.

  • Where did the sound go? I was surprised it cut off at the credits.

I liked this short a lot. Unlike some of the people on here, I'm not going to tell you what you should or shouldn't have done (other than maybe fade the sound a little smoother at the end, but maybe the jarring effect was planned). The story is what it is, and I think it's great this way. It got your message across efficiently and stylishly, which is hard to do with a short film.

Loved the lighting and the acting. Cool concept.

  • bloody brilliant is what it was!.. inspirational stuff!

  • THIS SUCKS DONKEY AND MOSQUITO BALLS

  • I liked it, a lot. Great directing, great screenplay, great acting, great writing... amazing.

The only thing that bothered me, though, was at the end when the credits started. The music just had an abrupt end. If I was editing this, I would've had the music play into the credits. It could've just been my speakers, though. :-(

  • it wasnt your speakers

  • Good Video!

  • WOW....great job this is really amazing....the directing and acting were great also....i plan to put some shorts up as well so maybe they'll be half as great as this.

  • This Piece Was Pretty Good, The Style The Director Chose Was Excellent, Yet I Believe There Should Have Been A Little Conflict Besides the Fact That He Got Rejected, I too Expected Frank to look in the suitcase and see the plane exploding, and why and how does he get to see everybody's future should'nt it have worked only for the eye of the beholder...but still very good...

  • that was beautiful. I absolutely love the lighting effect and the music, the faces were very good form the actors. Excellent Jobs. I love it.

  • It was very compelling for the mildness or lack of conflict. I absolutely love the low key lighting and the style of the piece... iT was wonderful, thoug the meeting was quite random, I'm not sure why he showed him the future. We need to do a movie together...

  • That was really good.

  • In conclusion: it makes no difference if you can see 30 seconds ahead, if it wasn't meant to be.

  • Was very well done, but I just didnt like the ending. I understand what happened and why but I think its should of been a bit more sinister. For some reason I wanted there to be an accident because of the future suitcase. I know it was only 30 seconds and so therefore this was impossible, but I kinda of wanted the plane to go down or blow up. very good though.

    :)

  • bez2k- want something sinister? Go watch saw I, II, III or VI(or however many there are). This was more of an intellectual game the writer is playing with the viewers head. Death need not be involved, maybe life without a perfect love or lost love is the horrible occurrence...

  • tar for that. My opinion though

  • nice film...excellent direction...though some may not understand the film, may take it too literally. what we mean here by "future" is to take chances (like the opportunity of meeting someone) otherwise it might be too late.
