  • why is it every time your father looks at the car you move the camera away to some other direction?

  • Did you buy it back?

  • He better save it dont let it die

  • ...and a Thunderbolt dual tone siren in the background....

  • I hope is was worth the booze.

  • Actualy its rated at 340HP with 1 X 4barrel carb and 360HP with a second 4 barrel and was a monster torker, not too bad for an early 60's ;)

  • @electra4554 The most powerful car I've driven is barely 105 HP Seat Toledo, I'm daily driving Fiat Uno 45 HP, for me this Buick is a fuckin' demonic machine.

  • hope he saved the one car did he?

  • My brother had one of those. It had a two speed automatic, I think. He gave it a stomp on the freeway going about 55 and the downshift was so gloriously violent, and the acceleration so brutal, that we nearly wet ourselves. A really under rated performance car.

  • its sad but he telling u the truth but what i don´t get is how the hell he rembered the car and where it was

  • how much do you want for the ford ranger on the trailer

  • Its a nice car but highly doubt that 425 had 427 hp unless it was built

  • @midnitesquireldog that buiks worth 3k. No more

  • @69homohater That's a lot of money to be left sitting around deteriorating.

  • that buick riviera is in great shape and worth alot of money !!! the carburetor looks new so does the wires and cap hmm.

  • @midnitesquirldog Probably the current owner put them on.

  • They need to be restored, or atleastnot left outside

  • it looks good inside

  • fire that thing up and take it for a ride and plz can i get that white one :D

  • First off, that car looks to good to have been sitting for 20 years. Maybe he sold it 20 years ago, but that paint would be far worse if it had sit neglected in the weather for that long. Second, i know that Buick is mean fast, but when you are drinking, it must seem like the fastest thing with wheels. Save it if you can!!!!

  • @jerywilliams The video does say that he has not seen it in 20 years, the current owner could have been still driving it around hence clean paint, new carb and wires.

  • dude thats sweet purchase it for salvage and restore it please

  • i really like those cars. i hope they dont scrap it

  • I hate to see cars like this left to rot in the weeds.

  • Nice car with some nice color on it too.

  • It's actually quite beautiful as is. I'd rather drive that un-rusted, yet weathered beast with bad chrome instead of having a vulgar shiny museum piece to drive on sundays.

  • I'm glad he made it through the bad times, I hope he can reclaim the car, age will have slowed him down as it does to us all. I think this car was, and is his way back to some serious self esteem, he must have looked after it well for it to last so well after he passed it on. It's almost shouting at him to take it home, the way everything is in his movement around it, it's his at the core of himself.

    Regards to you both.

  • That was a hell of a drinking session....20 years...

  • @mikeatcora Yeah. He said he doesn't remember the 60s, 70s, or 80s. Him and Jim Beam..

  • im glad you found ur car but i would be digging out the 47-53 chevy truck

  • @TheFordsforme The doors have vent windows, and the handles are pull-down, which makes it a '51 - '52. The '47 - '50 Chevys had no vent windows. The '53 had push-button door handles.

  • @sd31263 i have a 47 a 53 and a 50 . the fifty is close to being on the road the other two are taken apart. i just said 47-53 i didnt say for sure and people change the doors from time to time my 53 has no vents and should have i think somewhere along the lines the doors were changed .ahh anyway was the truck saved to?

  • Tht things in damn good shape

  • ok i dont CARE about the car!! as much as i do the old chevy truck. OLD RUSTY TRUCK =ONE NICE RAT ROD:)

  • NEW carb man..

  • This video was obviously staged, paint looks too good for a car that "supposedly" has been sitting out that long, and the carb looks fresh as well.

  • @tommy82sumtoy he didnt say it SAT for 20 years...he SOLD it 20 years ago.

  • Buy it baccccckkkkk

  • must of had alot of engine work done to it to make 427 hp,it made 340 stock!

  • @tropicjester12 haha yeah your right!!

  • If it had been my choice and I had had that car, I would have quit drinking.

  • if it hasent been seen in 20 years whats up with the brand new carb it dont ahve a speck of dust unlike rest of the engine

  • @jjkhbjh i'd assume the guy that owns it put it on there.

  • cars clean but not worth 10 G

truly a diamond in the rough...

owner needs to scrap all those other junks laying around and then maybe he will realize that the rivs should be sold for Any price to someone who will save them.

theres 700 dollars worth of car at scrap price..

or you can pick parts off it and it rots away forever, and make maybe a grand or two off parts

    or

sell it to someone who will restore it.

owner needs to be told the Logic.

ps someone should save the chevy pickup too.

  • @RobsMusicBox People have been trying to tell him that for years, he just won't listen to reason.

  • id buy them one for good one for parts and the other sell it

  • No mistaking the nailhead under the hood.

  • This is pretty touching to watch being that i love classic cars so much.I cant believe some peeps here dont know its a Riviera & not a Wildcat.Ill forgive u guys if ur like 20yrs old or younger.

  • So he became a drunk and had to sell it?

  • @gibbletz Pretty much.

  • @Freddy4190 The old coot wants 10k for three Rivieras? I don't think that's too outlandish considering the blue one is hardly a parts car. $10,000 doesn't buy much anymore, but if you can get one decent big block Riv with potential, plus two other cars, I'd say it's money well spent.

  • ill take that blue car featured in the movie off ur hands

  • is that a wild cat?

  • @s30zman I believe so.

  • @Freddy4190 So whats its current status? Im a Pontiac guy, but i love every classic.

  • @The1FastGP It's still sitting there rusting into the ground. We can't afford to get them back.

  • @Freddy4190 Sad to hear that.

  • Are you going to take it?

  • @dirtbiker4lfe Dude, I wish. The guy that owns it now wants $10,000 for all 3 Rivi's in the video. I'd kill to have this car. It's ridiculously fast from all the stories my dad has told me. He's owned Cobras, Challengers, Cuda's, you name it he's had it. He said this blows the doors off them all. He told me he could tape a $100 bill to the dash, tach it up and if you could reach the money you could have it.

  • is it still working?

  • good if they were taken care of

  • That car would be nice if it was cherried out
