Very good and tight performance, thanks for posting this. Beyond the Unknown is still one of my top 10 favorite Metal albums, after all these years. Songwriting, Vocals and overall energy are outstanding, especially songwriting. I like how all the song have an introduction, musical progression until the vocals kick in. The songs are so catchy, freezing torment, burial ground, massacre of the unborn, highly recommended.

Beyond the Unknown is one of the most underrated albums ever. Amazing guitars (solos, groove, heaviness) killer drums and wicked vocals. I actually think that Francis is one of the strongest death metal vocalists. Can't wait for the re-issues and the new album!!!!!

Good question. Francis and Moyses could answer that better than I; my hunch is that there wasn't much to be done. You may be aware that around the same time that the Howard brothers formed the Louisiana-based Incubus, Mike Browning (between leaving Morbid Angel and forming Nocturnus) formed a Tampa-based Incubus (both bands released demos in approximately the same year [86/87]). Thus, there was already some contention surrounding the rights to the name long before the 1990s Incubus came along.
