Bob Keeshan TV's Captain Kangaroo

The last time I saw Bob Keeshan was in 1997, when he appeared as the Wizard in the St. Louis Muny Opera production of "The Wizard of Oz". The production itself was as amateur as a high school play, but Keeshan alone made the whole experience worthwhile. You couldn't have cast a better wizard.

I grew up with Captain Kangaroo, and I have this book. Great memories, I miss Bob Keeshan.

At the time he died, it was noted that he taped two different programs each day... one for the Eastern viewers, and the 2nd for Midwesterners.

I have this book and always wanted to meet Bob Keeshan who I watched on TV back in the 60's. Sadly, I never got to meet him but I'll always have fond memories of my childhood and Captain Kangaroo!
