My mom is currently having a nightmare experience with the "Personal" insurance company. We did some digging and found out that she had unnecessarily been paying collision for a car on which they would not pay any more than $300. On top of all this, the other driver left the scene and the police did not take a proper report, so mom is "up the creek without a paddle".

I think I'll bring a class action suit against the "Personal".

rule 4.01 of the solicitors code of conduct states that a solicitor must keep the affairs of their clients and former clients confidential. this duty overrides the duty to disclose information.

Your information didn't just get posted to this company. It went to your solicitors so that they could form a case for you. They don't just post it on! Solicitors have codes to follow, they get struck off if they disclose confidential information! They spend years learning about professional conduct! It has not gone to the company. Any information that has been sent out will only have gone to the other side's solicitors at the solicitors address. Ask your solicitor!

Can you trust insurance companies - absolutely not .......... following being hit by a truck I summoned my records through privacy and information and every little detail down to each second of each phone was recorded ........ my medical records...and of course it was all painted black ............ it still does not bar you from your rights... it is their job to be devils advocate .... nature of the beast -

hi colin.i believe its a mistake to believe that the primary motive of ANY business is to 'help' or administer justice for that matter.their primary function is profit.if you research this you'll find that 'profit making' and 'helping you' very rarly co-exist.

of course these guys have already internalised the false view that their do a good honest service.

i've worked as a sales man for a number of years and the doublethink crap they fill themselves is evident on their sales training courses.

Hi sgt7, yes I do agree in today's selfish society the primary motive of businesses is rather negative. But the problem that I have is that someone was nearly killed due to extreme negligence. The crown prosecutor refused to pursue the case! The plaintiff had been injured severely and was unable to summons a judicial review. The only avenue left was to pursue a civil claim.

What I am trying to say is that a murder was nearly committed with the authorities looking in the opposite direction only avenue left is our legal system so I don't really consider that is a business in the sense that I am prevented from retaliating because of our legal system but somehow it is now a corrupted business. The crown prosecution's departmental office is nothing but a big joke, "meaning the police Health and Safety officers".
