@Wrestlefan1 a knockout kick with spin hook kick, what the guy used, is a perfectly legal kick. That kick was actually very well controlled. You can look up other videos under the title of "Taekwondo knockout spin hook kick" or something like that.

Shots to the head are sometimes 2 points where as shots to the chest would be just 1. A punch to the body would just be 0.5 points if it's a good punch but some places allow punches to the face but most don't.
TKD isn't very practical on the street but you don't want to get caught by one of those kicks regardless of who you are, if they can do that to someone's head think about how easy it would be for them to kick you in the side of the knee and send your kneecap skipping across the street.
i dont see any1 doing a jumping spinning kick to my knee. a basic thai low point is what u want for a low kick. not that any1 does leg kicks in the street.
A simple snap of the leg and twisting the hip into it, no harder to throw a knee or groin kick. I've done Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Aikido, Tang Soo Do which is MMA where I did it, I know what's practical and what's not. People can talk about fighting and sound like an expert, I'm more interested in seeing that person in the ring. I'm no MMA champion but sparring is my all around most favorite activity.

I'm sorry to reply this late. That couldn't be any more wrong. The "Grappling" is anything from jiu-jitsu wrestling or judo. All requiring skill. They are also not "Slugger punchers" Without a good background in boxing, muay thai, or even karate it would be close to impossible to make it in the UFC. It also takes a good record and noticable skill to even score a contract. They are professionals and athletes.

I'm sorry to reply this late. That couldn't be any more wrong. The "Grappling" is anything from jiu-jitsu wrestling or judo. All requiring skill. They are also not "Slugger punchers" Without a good background in boxing, muay thai, or even karate it would be close to impossible to make it in the UFC. It also takes a good record and noticable skill to even score a contract. They are professionals and athletes.

I don't argue that it takes a good record to score a contract, nor do I argue that they are not some kind of professional for some kind of field, nor do I argue that they are not athletic. So you can bring those up, it still remains they are more thugs than Martial Artists. They rely on sloppy wrestling and are big dudes who slug it out when they not on the floor. 00:13 to the end is demonstrates clearly the difference.

1. You must be high when you say sloppy wrestling. Many of the UFC fighters are NCAA champions.
2. Big dudes who slug it out, no not really. Look at the light weights and in the WEC bantams, and feathers.
You are telling me that Royce Gracie was a thug? Anderson Silva, GSP, BJ Penn, Lyoto Machida. Only a few are "thugs" and even then they are trained martial artists.

2. In the super fights for the Heavy weight division name one fight when there is just a slug fest. Frank Mir v Brock Lesnar both 1 and 2 were extremely technical fights. In the first fight Frank Mir won by a very well executed Leg lock. In the second fight Brock Lesnar fought a very smart fight by neutralizing Frank Mir's excellent ground game with very smart wrestling.

no, shaggy skills is what U see in the thugs on the UFC. THATS shaggy. Frikin wrestling on the ground, sloppy ass fighting. this is actually form. And it wasn't a lucky shot, view the video again: he did the same wheel kick just before. He did it once, then saw him coming and repeated the same exact kick. That's called decision, that's called skill. That's called MARTIAL ARTS
