no doubt actors and rich people live in a complete different world.
if they really wanted to put an end to poverty they would stop making hollywood garbage and use that money to be put towards education, and sex ed as well.
gotta them credit, they sure know how to act as if they really cared.
Tom Hanks is one of my heroes and I am so glad at the end when he said "we're not asking for your money. We're asking for your voice" He helps a lot with LGBT issues, the environment and of course poverty. I want to be great like Tom someday. Thank you for being an icon for my generation sir.
So can all of these actors who know so much about the world explain to me just how much more money it is going to take for America to send to Africa, to solve all of their problems. Every dollar that goes to these third world countries gets taken by paramilitary groups and spent on guns and drugs. Tell Brad Pitt and Matt Damon to give all of their money to this lost cause and leave the rest of us, trying to make a living, alone.
Read "The End of Poverty" by economist Jeffrey Sachs. Ending world poverty is an economic reality for our time, but only if we act swiftly and give very generously. I'd advise that you stop attempting to rationalize your inaction and instead, find an organization that you trust will NOT let money into the hands of crime lords and will instead free the world from the harsh grip of extreme poverty.
Trust me, I am a member of the ONE Organization. Please, mail me in any way posible if anyone is willing to lend their voices, not their money, to the ONE cause.
every time i watch it it makes me tingle. aside Paul Robertson who is a cock "Americans have an unprecedented oppertunity" he is a televangelist, he is anti gay anti Islam anti socialist and by appering in this vid he is showing himslef as the hypocritical wanker he is. this vid needs to be watched
