God does exist! When my mom was in the hospitol with a huge problem in her heart, she almost passed away, but then after the surgery, the doctor said 9/10 people don't make it with this problem. My mom did, and she said right when the pain got as much as you can't believe, she saw Mary and Jesus in Mary's hand. She said that you will make it out of this. And right after that, she made it out perfectly and the doctor couldn't believe it.

I believe god was invented by man to help explain death and the unknown, also I have come to believe the rules in organized religion were put in place to control people. If you believe that there is a God, what about other religions versions of that same God? According to some religions there is only one, what about other people believing there are more? Also, to say that you don't decide for yourself (Ex. When people say "Thank God!") is just ridiculous. There is a scientific basis for all of this and to say that one person or thing created everything and is in charge of us all takes away from the fact that we are all free and we have evolved over time.

Islam is terrifying because we know of how it can easily lead to extremism to hate. Jesus would never emphasise hate towards anyone, not even the devil. The bible is nothing more than a book of how to be a good person. I read it and didn't learn anything I didn't know already. But the sad part is that religious people need a bible to remind them of how to be good (I am not implying that all religious people are bad). Just believe in yourself and be kind and you won't need God.

Well I have come to realise that it is real hard to have a discussion about religion considering that we all have different views and opinions. I don't believe in God where as millions of others do and there is no point in talking about it.
I disagree. BECAUSE people have different view points IS the reason to talk about it. The problem is lack of understanding about the universe's existence is filled in with an idea (God) that has no evidence to support it. All discussion ends with religious people saying 'well, God is love' or 'God is outside laws'. It is a trap that cannot be disproven, but it is not supported by anything besides old books written by people.
I will give you an example that I personally know. Before the war in Bosnia city of Zenica was one of dirties place in Yugoslavia. The factory that employed 25,000 people was producing iron along with many other things but didn't use filters and waste water was not closely monitored so everything went into the air for us to breath and into rivers to pollute them. So, about 50 years ago about 3 kinds of fish just disappeared from all the pollution.
Now my reasoning for the big band. Truth is that that theory has many holes, like everything else that we don't understand or can't explain, but if we were to change anything in the past, e.g. stopping the Hitler from becoming who he became, then the whole history would have shaped differently. Right? Meaning that everything on this world evaluated. We became from monkeys and bla bla.

My point is, if everything is made out of something, how did the universe start from nothing?
Why do you even think the universe was nothing ever? Existence could have always been existence, just in alternating forms. Where did God come from? Who started him? Who started his decision to create us? Don't just say he's exempt from all rules like time, etc. What if our universe used to be outside of the rules and made itself? The point is there are other theories besides God

The people that lack a religion, for the most part, are ignorant and do not even want to try to believe. God does exist! When my mom was in the hospitol with a huge problem in her heart, she almost passed away, but then after the surgery, the doctor said 9/10 people don't make it with this problem. My mom did, and she said right when the pain got as much as you can't believe, she saw Mary and Jesus in Mary's hand. She said that you will make it out of this. And right after that, she made it out perfectly and the doctor couldn't believe it.

Whatever Jesus was, his words are God. His teachings about goodness and love towards every single person on the planet. Islam is terrifying because we know of how it can easily lead to extremism to hate. Jesus would never emphasise hate towards anyone, not even the devil. We should feel sorry for the devil but not hate him. That is why I am christian and that is why I believe in God and Jesus. His words make the most sense.

BTW Hitler was real religious, as did many English Kings and Queens that killed millions of people through centuries. Bush is religious too. All our pre-war EX-Yugoslavian presidents were too and they have blood on their hands. Do you see my point?

The bible is nothing more than a book of how to be a good person. I read it and didn't learn anything I didn't know already. But the sad part is that religious people need a bible to remind them of how to be good (I am not implying that all religious people are bad). Just believe in yourself and be kind and you won't need God.

You religious people don't even see how lost you are. You need something or someone to feel fulfilled. If it wasn't for the God and the church there would be no wars. God is the only reason why people feel different than others. As long as you need God to be happy you've got nothing.

We are more intelligent now? Education and wisdom are two different things. Education is dandy, but someone's wisdom decides what to do with that education. Look at the college shooting in Virginia. Look at foreign countries. Look at our own country. History is repeating itself all the time, only now we have bigger technology to do it with.
However, though I could rant hours about our 'intelligence',I'm getting offtrack. The rant I partially spoke up was referring to human corruption, not God.

The sad part is, I remember back before I was saved. I was obsessed with stories and angst. You can never realize how lost the world really is until your saved from it. The evidence is the change in a person.
If feelings don't count, then according to you, love doesn't exist. No proof.
Scared? Yes, I am. I'm scared that a lot of my loved ones are so wrapped up in the world, they don't see they have forgotten God. But I know, just as love exists, God exists.

Just because you feel better doesn't mean god is real. It's very reassuring to feel ufo's will take you off the planet, so reassuring that the Heaven's Gate cult killed themselves. That is not proof of existence. I don't FEEL 2 hydrogens and 1 oxygen make water, i've tested it and seen tests of it. Let me ask,If no one told you about God and you never saw a religious document would you know about him?

They appeared again! because they didn't all die and life naturally strives hard to exist, so of course they came back in 50 years. It's harder to cite examples of the millions of species that died because of comparable things. Repopulation is not exactly evolution

Well I have come to realise that it is real hard to have a discussion about religion considering that we all have different views and opinions. I don't believe in God where as millions of others do and there is no point in talking about it.

I disagree. BECAUSE people have different view points IS the reason to talk about it. The problem is lack of understanding about the universe's existence is filled in with an idea (God) that has no evidence to support it. All discussion ends with religious people saying 'well, God is love' or 'God is outside laws'. It is a trap that cannot be disproven, but it is not supported by anything besides old books written by people.

I will give you an example that I personally know. Before the war in Bosnia city of Zenica was one of dirties place in Yugoslavia. The factory that employed 25,000 people was producing iron along with many other things but didn't use filters and waste water was not closely monitored so everything went into the air for us to breath and into rivers to pollute them. So, about 50 years ago about 3 kinds of fish just disappeared from all the pollution.

Truth is that that theory has many holes, like everything else that we don't understand or can't explain, but if we were to change anything in the past, e.g. stopping the Hitler from becoming who he became, then the whole history would have shaped differently. Right? Meaning that everything on this world evaluated. We became from monkeys and bla bla.

I have one problem in believing that God exists. Where is he? I come from war torn Yugoslavia and I came to realise that only the people with no heart or soul managed to have food along with everything else while others were starving for days and some even months. If he really exists where is he when people really need him? And why is he always favoring criminals?

How do you know the wind exists?
You don't have to see a tornado in order to know wind exists.
You don't have to see a miracle in order to know God exists.
People are willing to trust scientists stating theories, yet don't trust Jesus stating the truth.

Wind can be tested with more than just the sense of sight. The reason you think the Bible is the truth is because the Bible says it's the Truth. This circular logic is flawed. The Koran says IT is the Truth. Why don't you believe it? Oh, whoever raised you was Christian. What if they were Muslim? Would your truth be different?

Say you managed to find the nonexistant answer to that question. What are the odds that everything would happen in a sequence of events that would not only create planets, stars, and micro organisms, but would also create intelligent life? But would also create an enviorment suitable for that intelligent life? The odds are so incredibly slim, I can't even write the number down.

The theory of the big bang is filled with many holes if you look into it. For example, scientists themselves state that everything is made out of something. Atoms were once believed to be the simplest item. Now we know atoms are made of electrons, neutrons, and protons.
My point is, if everything is made out of something, how did the universe start from nothing?

Why do you even think the universe was nothing ever? Existence could have always been existence, just in alternating forms. Where did God come from? Who started him? Who started his decision to create us? Don't just say he's exempt from all rules like time, etc. What if our universe used to be outside of the rules and made itself? The point is there are other theories besides God

Many people falsely claim they're Christian, but only do it to be a part of a group and make themselves feel better. They hear the word, but don't really hear it. Those who do hear it, will never forget the lessons the Holy Spirit reveals.

But those lessons were written by people. Not a ghost. You say, "Just as existence COULD have always been existance, God has always been God." Well, we KNOW the universe exists. But God has zero evidence. That's the difference. There isn't even evidence of any spirituality, anywhere, ever.

Bible, Church and no proof of God are the reason why I don't believe in God. There probably is something; some kind of force but none of us ever saw it. People need to believe in God cause they can't bear the thought of not knowing where they are going.

People are scared, and people try to replace it with making believing they will go to Heaven just because they believe there is a God. The bible is written by men guided by God. You could study the bible your entire life, but not understand a word of it. Proof is everywhere, but the largest change is in your soul. God gives you the ability to hear, but its up to you to listen.
Cheesy as it sounds, it's true. Truth is something that can never be changed.

People need to believe in something cause most people are scared of what awaits them after life. The truth is that Bible was written by the powerful people of that time and it was written so that people are scared - isn't that the perfect way to rule them. History was always written by the winners.
I personally believe that there is a fat chance that we and everything around us became of nothing. Ever heard of a BIG BANG?

God didn't literally plop down adam and eve and flowers. Adam and Eve are amyth and parable. Homo-sapien-sapiens first evolved in Africa. But God IS. God dosn't exist. But God IS.

God does exist. and to say that there is no evidence is just naive, the greatest evidence you can have is the bible, and if thats not enough, look at history, and it will show you that Christ does exist. and LegalSubstance whom quote "it all has to do with your brain.
