I hate reading comments, people are 2 negative. For those of you who say it was written for Julian, that is one theory. The other is that it was written for his Mother, Julia, and also there are lyrics that correspond with Yoko Ono, who's first name literally means "child of the sea". When he started playing in the Quarry Men with Paul McCartney, his mom came back and they had a pretty tight relationship for a little while, until she died when she got hit by an off-duty police officer who was drunk. It definately changed John's life, listen to the song "Mother" from his solo career, it's pretty intense.

Dude, It's called a capo and it's on the second fret. To play this properly you need to finger pick it as this chap does very well, travis style, alternating bass. As regards matters pertaining to moisture and girls names, I'm afraid that's outiside my area of expertise.

I see you're using the Epi J-160E. However, I'm pretty sure that Lennon used his Martin D-28. The J-160 doesn't have that distinct, bassy sound that the D-28 does.

If you listen to the Anthology version where you can really hear the guitar, you'll notice the difference between Lennon's guitars.
