OB4CL2 Is Possibly the Best Wu Album Since Wu-Tang Forever....It's Only been On the Shelves 4 a minute & It's already Classic, My Boy Necro Finally getting his due as well got a beat alongside the likes Of Dr.Dre & Pete Rock!!
this track could have got more energy from rae, thats why ghost is so excellent even a throwback beat, he spit like there's no tomorrow. Lyricz are also close and personal to ghost.
Ghost really saves this track. Rae just sound a bit lay back. If this was heaven and hell he would be lingering the rhymes back and forth like M.G.M.
Maybe throw some Tekitah vocals at the end make it sound more like Marvel.
real talk. niggaz need to obey the code and support the real. let this new homo crazy generation do their thing. we all about principles and thats how we will take this hip hop shit back. ONE
Man, I AM a part of the new generation, but youre right, the majority of them are homos because they think bullshit like OJ Da Juiceman is Hip Hop!
It's crazy, I was a little kid when "OB4CL" and "Liquid Swords" were released, but I would put these LP's over almost every LP which was released in the last years, throw ya W's up....
Hell yeah i am. I could care less about Detox. Im sure it will be dope but im a much bigger fan of grimy east coast shit. 50s album is the last thing on my mind. WU TANG FOREVER
Thanks :P lol -- but it's true... it makes no sense... people are all like, "man, this shit is whack compared to the first one" ... but it's a whole new era... Rae obviously can't bring the old shit back, but he can bring back something comparable... it makes no sense why peoples hating

i agree with feloniousdunk, Necro is bad rapper and a sh*t person, but he kills it with production, straight up. this beat is dope, its the only one by necro on the album, but its a nice beat and the style of it really reminds me of Cuban linx 1.
The only reason it has a "cinematic vibe" is because they stuck a clip from "The Black Godfather" on the front of it. They could have done that with any track. That doesn't make it Cuban Linx. This song just isn't up to par with RZA's stuff on the first album, and Raekwon's rhyming was weak as hell.
LOL, you gotta point there. But I think the lazy laid back flow is Rae's new style since I don't know when. Most songs Rae did after Iron Flag doesn't have that hunger anymore. I agree 100% with you that production wise it isn't par w/ anything RZA did on the first album. But I think "The G Hide" doesn't sound more raw than "Criminology 2".
you cant say that the production tip is not up to par with RZA uness you heard the whole album already. but yeah this aint but on this album i still got Allah Mathematics pete rock J.Dilla and the good Dr.Dre. so
Wow, this is actually dope! Necro might be an over-the-top tough guy who listens to shitty metal music, but his production is straight gutter when he only focuses on hip hop influences. I also heard that this would be on OB4CL2, and I'm glad. Maybe that album will actually turn out pretty good.
man i remember this track dropped last summer, and i went to rock the bells in nyc and raekwon & ghost didn't play this! i was so disappointed. They even put this song on the rtb website
It's very sad, that this track has just 1.339 clicks in two months, it's just an another evidence that the most hiphop listeners are just interested in bullshit!
true that! although jadakiss new album falls short of that new york glory of yesterday. he has fallen into the nas sphere. he is a lyrical giant with wack ass productions. no one wants to hear him flow with that r&b spiced production. thats why nas can't go gold now. premier, pete rock, rza, and dre. continue to hold the key with that ancient boom bap. true hip heads know what im talking about. it has no grittyness and that is the true origins of the game.

i don't think rae is weak at all. he's spittin in his laid-back, cinematic raekwon the chef persona.

This aint wack, but it's not Cuban Linx material either. Can you see this track on the first Cuban Linx? I know I couldn't.
busymike 2 years ago
Why can't you see this track on Cuban Linx? This got that cinematic vibe with some crime movie line to go with it too.

The only reason it has a "cinematic vibe" is because they stuck a clip from "The Black Godfather" on the front of it. They could have done that with any track. That doesn't make it Cuban Linx.
