its not bad, the only thing i dont like about it is that it takes like 30-45 minutes to load the program. but i may try out another tunner on it was thinking the sct may be a little better not sure though going to do some research first. but i think i saw about a 10% gain in economy with the intake exhaust and chip. i get 12-14 in the city and 19-21 hwy. 22 if im doing 65 and behind a semi the entire time on CC.
I was test driving the 09 but apparently with the 4.6L and the tire package and this and that gets over 26mpg or more. But even the 5.4L gets better mileage too.
dont expect to be getting good gas milage unless the one your getting has the 6 spd auto tranny. 4 spd sucks, i get 12 mpg in the city lucky to get between 18-20 empty hwy.
I think it's the 6. Whatever comes in the Lariat with a tow package. All i know is it beats the hell out of my Ranger :) lol. Ive had it for a few days and I've been getting around 16 average mixed. I'm used to low mileage, my ranger sadly gets around 16, with the 4.0 V6 and 4.10's. it'll be fun though. My concern with the exhaust is the loud with a 3900lb loaded camper behind it
depends where your towing it. if its in the mountains then yes its going to be loud and obnoxiuos, but if you in flat land with the occational hill then you would be fine. it just gets really loud going up hill cause the muffler is right under the back half of the cab.
Oh ya man I drove a 09 with 6spd going 100km/h (60mph) rpm tack was 1800rpm I think 120KM/H (65mph I think LOL) was doing around 2 grand thing is awesome on highway low low rpm. This was the 5.4L too.
those are still stock.... had to sign a form at the dealership when i bought to leave them on but i never looked into high performance cats if thats what you mean. thanks
I had one on a 99 150 & another on a 03 150, Sounds good, don't last worth crap unless you get stainless steel. You should try Gibson headers along with that and a cold air intake, it'll improve the sound, throttle response, and overall power.
i have an intake but i just havent had the money to get headers right now. on the truck ive got a afe intake, a bully dog chip and the exhaust. and yes mine is stainless steel.
its not really loud. i would say its quieter than flowmasters, but i wanted something different since i had flowmasters on my last truck. but it has a very nice tone and sounds real nice, so im happy with it
I want this video on my 6263 unit.

i recently towed a trailer from florida to tennessee and i must say this thing is MUCH louder when you have move of a load behind it.
bigorangecntry007 3 years ago
would you say obnoxiously loud or just LOUD? and do you have anything from the interior?
mengers06 3 years ago
it can get obnoxious on long step grades but not too bad on shorter runs

what kind of gas mileage are you getting?
bigorangecntry007 2 years ago
@josh1303 08 is still 4 speed (3 spd with OD). unless you are talking manuals, then those were 5spd but only available with the 4.6

sounds really good dude. I have a FRPP (Borla) rear exit cat-back on mine, but it doesn't sound anything like the Gibson. Check it out.

is this a loud muffler? i drive an 03' 5.4L f150 and i'm looking for an exhaust system to buy, or just install a custom one.
redneckalex08 3 years ago
you can hear it some from the drivers seat.... my sister sat in the back seat on the passenger side and said it was loud, but i like it.
bigorangecntry007 3 years ago
Those are great looking systems. Sounds good. Any in cabin drone at highway speeds? Or any other speeds?
