Orcas are apex predators and they kill including great white sharks. They are intelligent, commiunicate with each other and are problem solving animals. Do they kill for fun or put the seal back after they have played with it. Why does this matter? Life is unfair and there are alot more unfair things going on in the world than Orcas killing seals. This is nature. Either way I think they are amazing creatures and I give them my respect.

"You'd think they would just break the ice!", scientist say that they do this because they are getting themselves ready for a harder catch, they also play with the seals, throw them around in the air and sometimes take the seals, unharmed back to shore. Also, for the other annoying person in the background "how are they going to share the food?", Orca's live in families, and only interact with other family members, when they catch their food, whether it only be one seal or 10, they make sure that everyone in the family gets something to eat. Actually, at 3:07 you see the seal pop itself up trying to get back on the ice floe, but at 3:21 the seal has moved to the ice floes at the top center of the screen. You can see him pop his head out of the water between the two ice floes and the orcas are moving off to the right. Looks as if the seal managed to get outta there okay!
