Such a good reflection to Sanae's past since she was rightfully a human from the Other Wotld, otherwise ours.

I would assume since she was in her school uniform and looking around a school, she misses her former life before moving to Gensokyo. But perhaps seeing the class full of her Gensokyo friends made her realize she will be all right.

It's a very lovely video all together. Amazing combination of reality and anime settings.

From what I'm seeing in this video, Sanae is visiting her old school, re-living her old life in our world. As she reminisces of her childhood, she replaces everyone in her memory with everyone she already knows, failing to notice her friends were with her all along, waiting for her to see them and rejoin them in Gensokyo.

They did not go to school. Only sanae did. Sanae is from the outside world which is actually reality. The others just appear in the class room because back in gensokyo they would go to kiene's class room and learn there but in this video sanae just decided to visit her old school once again...

I think that the movie is about Sanae before she ever knew that Gensokyo existed; she daydreams about fantastical things. I don't know about anyone else, but the school gave off a feel to me that made it seem like going there would be monotonous and tiring. I think that Sanae wanted something interesting and different to happen. I think that the younger Sanae was just a metaphor for her younger imagination actually pretending to be in a magic world, and the older Sanae seems to have forgotten it

@ieatatsonic Interesting take... I've always looked at it as maybe Sanae grew tired of her life in Gensokyo and wanted to go back to where she was. If I read right, she had almost always been working in the shrine and while didn't know them well, did know Kanako and Suwako. When she first came to Gensokyo, she was nervous and scared of it's inhabitants so it would make sense if she wanted to go back.

Oh my god, this video is so bittersweet. I say that because of how it starts off, with Sanae having returned to earth, and starting to have bittersweet, nostalgic memories of her life in Gensokyo. But it's also bittersweet in that she gets to go back. There are some things that I don't understand here, though. For example, how did Sanae end up back on Earth in the first place?

The only way I can describe this is asking myself, "What happened to us? What happened to the days where our innocence allowed us to believe in magic and feel proud of it? Why must I feel ashamed to tell others that "I still believe". Even if you may not have it, the memory of this innocence is enough to keep fighting in the world and one day shape a destiny for yourself that others might have thought impossible.

@Cloud551 I'm assuming you know what touhou is, but this is just another vid that kinema kan released. As far as i can tell they're just touhou animation videos, albeit the best we've ever seen. He releases a cd with an OP and ED with a music vid or animation in b/w in most cases. They don't actually become an anime from what i've seen though, unfortunatly

@narufan2004 I think a lot of this is memories, at least to some extent. It would explain why Sanae's in a school outfit and in the real world, and then goes back to her miko self at the end... The younger Sanae running around and playing with the Touhou girls makes less sense to me though, considering she didn't -know- any of them back then... but maybe the "daydream" is of what it'd be like if she were a Gensokyo native?
