I'm a necromancer fan, i really disappointed when the necro didn't appear in D3, people say that there is the witch doctor, but men, that one can't raise skeletons, can't spawn the beloved fire golem, so I get sad, but then I saw the monk, OMG, my favorite by now, simple amazing how does he kick asses, as someone said "a bald chuck norris!"
aahh fuck i knew alot of WOW influence is going to rub off Diablo franchaise, now htey bring in coold downs... i dont know the more stuff about new D3 keeps coming out more and more it seems overproduced, overpolished and too "wow-arised". I dont know but i think i may be disappointed when it comes out.
Honestly... you cant go wrong with the monk. His pores seep with intensity. His head is like a dragonball! He carries a weapon for no reason, cause he punches and kicks stuff like a true barfighter! yea sure his beard is pretty amazing too but do you know why he has a beard? because when in times of crisis, people always flock to a bearded person. its also like having a machine gun on your face. who need metal armor too right? just rep a toga, with this toga he is quick and agile. I think there will be some Items that will get like shorter cool down based on character like in D2 "2 to all Barbarian skills" or "1 to Bash" smtn like that
The Monk is the class that intrigues me the most, as I'm a huge assassins fan and I see more of her in the monk than any other previous Diablo 2 character. I feel ecstatic from close range fast track melee combat and from what I see so far this is going to be my favorite class and my first play through as well, just to get the maximum buzz that comes from the unknown, playing with the character that pleases you the most.
I think it adds that strategy to the hack and slash gameplay. Having to save that monster ability for the exact moment is waaayyyy more gratifying than spamming it over and over while drinking mana potions to plow down enemies like in D1 and D2.
@Shammikaze I'm sure that there would be items that reduce the cool down of certain as a buff, maybe some sets that are fitted for a specific class :)
The Demons Hunter would being good if it weren't for his Meningeetus. Also, me like the Witch Doctor but it looks like he have the Elephanteetus. Barbarian bad, too much Musclyarmfeetus. The Demon Hunter class seems to be a top CC character with a lot of side damage from skills and mobility with the dash. The ever changing skill build of this character will add a lot of new tactics to the game from stronger, longer binds and CC to massive individual nukes. Therefore i think the new class is at the top.
There is a real money auction house... if you want to compete in PVP you must pay money.
Furthermore in PVE terms magic find will only be on the legendary items (bash/jay confirmed). Because of this they will be hot items for the RMAH and will only be found there due to greed. It is a closed loop, if you want better gear you must pony up the cash for the MF gear to farm it. If you don't have the cash you must farm for years to get there.

I think the most badass class in Diablo 3 is the barbarian because he just hits stuff and it dies. He is also the coolest class because of his ability to replicate Cloud Strifes Blade Beam ability, but in a more badass manner. Check it out for yourself

the game will be great no doubt, but I was kind of dissapointed when we stil waited for the release of the new "dark character" and this role came to be the demon hunter. I really hoped for something like a half-deamon wearing infernal powers, fallen angel using twisted divine powers or even an undead character revived to fight in the shadow of good. Really hoped for something like this :D
@cmudo18 no because just like what happened in WoW (not comparing it to wow at all) when the death knight was introduced, everyone and their mom re-rolled to be a DK and 70% of everyone was a damn DK. and that would happen in D3, you want the classes to be equally as useful and as cool so people dont extremely favor one or the other and they choose based upon there own personal preference
OBVIOUSLY THE MONK IS THE MOST BADASS CHARACTER! firstly he is the only character to have a full on beard (which is enough in itself) but secondly that he can redirect casted spells. also he hits like a boss close up. definitely the new favourite, and i havent even been on the game....
The barb is a shoe in. Who doesnt love a giant armr clad neandrothol lumbering arround hacking his foes to bits with a weapon the size of a car. That is unless you can stop/repel missels with a little mana, teleport in with explosive results, or get to distance to send in the explosion. At the end of the day all thats left is a shady character with an orb in ther hand standing above a heap of scrap metal. All the rest can try to enjoy the rest of their day.
A former police detective and now a freelance detective/consultant, Monk has taken on a secondary role as the most badass demon hunting character in the world of Diablo 3. If you're a demon going out for a stroll, be warned that it may be your last, as Monk and his relentless martial arts fighting style spare NONE. isthere going to be pvp/duleing? if so players well fix there skill tree for pvp ore pve. you where refering to the skills with the lg cd the big hit skils thees sound like thy well be better used for pvp and boss fights. in d2 thy made the tokkens to redue skills so im suer in d3 there well be a skill reset system also in wow. so im shure way we well play d2 is to reset skills accourding to what you fell like deing........
To me i prefer one of the newer classes... the Witch Doctor. Mostly since he is a can be a ranged and up close character and still be very affective at both ranges. If he is able to do that i'm wanting to make him my first new character. He can throw fore balls that explode and yet the sorceress poison nova ring. I believe the Witch Doctor is the most bad ass compared to the rest. The others either ook cool, like the Demon-Hunter, or scary, like the barbarian.
Absolultely witchdoctor. Itsbasically invinceble.... Summons pets have high damage. The Barbarian i never really liked a boring character in my opinion. Demon hunter is like a hybrid of assasin and amazon so taht wil lbe interesting.

Definately the WD, u can tell that this guy will be completely awsome at both low and higher levels, u can tell that this class will be mostly completely power-based, that fireball move at high level is gona own, the release of bigger-bad ass pets, cool looking tiers, just the shear way he walk and talks! ooh my god, this guy is gona be the Necro of Diablo 2, the guy everyone wants to be, but dont wana level ;D, but in this case, we do want to level! the WD will defo be my main :)
Take a lesson from the original terminator. The barbarian was there to destroy all 3 prime evils. The barb was the only character to make it to the new Diablo. In a dungeon with small corridors and tight spaces he excels. He's all tattooed up from his stint in jail and he has a beard to make some dwarves jealous. Plus he is on steroids which gives him an edge in diablo or when he plays professional baseball. All in all rape, pillage and plunder are whats best in life to him!
how do you guys think you'll be spending talent points? I plan on playing a barbarian and playing heavily in arenas (aswell as pve). I plan on maxing points in offensive abilities and putting 1 point in defensive skills such as that wall that reduces damamge over X seconds, but maxing sprint since it can be used both offensively or deffensively. Any suggestions or ideas?
I think that the monk will be the most badass of all. I mean who doesn't want to walk around looking like Leonidas from 300 beating down the undead with his five sided fistagon
i personally think the tier based cool downs is a good idea, (use d2 skill names as examples) say you have cleave, its a short cooldown and it kills minor enemies in about 1 - 3 uses. Whirlwind would kill the entire wave in one use, and is still powerful against elites and bosses, but at the cost of long cooldowns. With this system we can get spells that feel epic, without just right click meteor'ing our way through an area.
I think the demon hunter is the coolest, because she (I'm referring as female due to the trailer) brings sheer terror to the demons. Her sense of vengeance frightens both allies and enemies alike. Chainbombing the demon heads is probably the most brutal way you can ever kill a demon, but also the most satisfying.
Oh and of course, dual wielding crossbows is simply bad-ass, as long as she does that, I am going to play the Demon Hunter.
I believe the monk is the absolute definition of a bad ass. His overall appearance is deceptive, for his fists of fury will pummel anybody into smithereens. Not only does the monk possess skills that are offensive, but he also has auras and buffs that give him survivability . The monk also resembles a human the most, unlike mages with lightning etc. I mean, look at the monk, he doesnt even need to use weapons! he uses his bare hands to fight and also his trademark chuck norris round house kick!
From my understanding of mmorpgs, it is highly recommended to place skill points in high tiered skills (even with long cooldowns). although leveling low leveled skills may yield more damage over the cool down of the high tier skill, the damage from the high tier skill is instantaneous and a character may need this when say, fighting in short battles. Plus, the animations of high tier skills are usually mind blowing!
From what i have seen so far, the witch doctor is the coolest character. He makes some pretty awesome noises when he uses his skills, and dresses like a bawss. Furthermore, The other classes just arent as cool : demon hunter doesnt seem "magical enough", barbarian is too cliche, wizard doesnt seem powerful enough and the monk in my oppinion is a boring ninja barbarian hybrid. You may say that in the storyline, the barbarian is the most important. To them i say BprBab(witch doctor noises).
This looks like the biggest bust of an anticipated game ever. The whole system of Diablo is so archaic that is is simply behind it's time. They had to completely change the gameplay but keep the lore and character's for it to be a high quality game. I can understand if there is no monthly sub, then the game will sell big time. But what a waste to not make Diablo a monthly sub game that is based off the MMO genre. They could have make a real monster of an MMO, i bet other companies are laughing.
Witch Doctor by far is the coolest. No one is nearly as big a dick as him/her. Not only can he/she kill you with frogs and locusts but they can warp your mind to think that they are doing you a favour!
I'm not interested in this week's prize, but I wanted to name my most badass char anyway: The Witch doctor, because he survives hits from the Siegebreaker Assault Beast with only a few feathers and some fluttering fabric as armor, even tho' he's just an old skinny guy. I guess it will be the same against any boss (i.e. Diablo), as all his armor is in the same style...
I believe the Wizard is the most badass character. Why? Well, not only do the wizards have extremely cool spells, the spells they have are quite useful in all retrospects of the game. Slowtime causes everything in it to slow other than you, therefore all you have to do is make sure to move away from slaughtering demons and then Ray of Frost them and Disintegrate them. Then teleport can stun all around you causing just enough time to completely decimate their numbers. Plus each spell looks sweet
I believe the inventory has changed a lot in D2 the inventory was limited by a number of slots that items would take up. Some items would take up more slots than others. In D3 I think it works te same except every item takes up 1 space however I hear there is a system in place to basically instantaneously sell/salvage ur items to its pretty much infinite in D3
i think the monk is the most badass character cause he has charges he can hit from seven sides he can charge and instantly punch you 1000 times he can reflect your magic cause your a newb and your not chuck norris and because he wears a robe and he can still pwn thousands of creeps

The Barbarian shapes out to be an important figure for the Diablo universe, he was one of the heroes who defeated Diablo and his brothers 20 years ago AND survived, both physically and mentally. I think his return as a playable character makes him the coolest.

The most badass class imo is the Witch Doctor, he poors acid on his enemies, unleashes locust storms, and confuses his enemies into killing each other. He's bascially moses crossed with a cannibal, mixed in with an apothecary. I cant wait to make a pure plague, and acid master without any summons. Plus he can wear voodoo masks
i'm going to play as a monk and build him as a brick shithouse running around punching enemies through walls and dragon kicking them in the testicles with my majestic monk powers. Afterwards I'll die in hardcore and quit playing.
Personally, I like the monk. I usually like the more ranged classes, but that's getting kind of old for me. The monk to me is even more badass than the barbarian because:
Barb = "You can hit me but I'll hit you harder" (which is awsome!)
Monk = "I can hit you all I want, and you can't touch me" (Which is EPIC)
i prefer the close range combat characters, but the witch doctor looks to be an unstoppable force. i get the vibe that its the mixture of a necromancer and sorceress, respectively. I cant really see a better idea for a character. and its also original. you dont see that in many games, and if there is a type of witch doctor in a game your just buying potions from it.
Witch doctor is the coolest for sure. I mean who doesn't have some shrunken heads hangin around the house? Besides, setting dogs on fire and sicking them on your enemy? comon... doesnt get much cooler than that my friends.
I think the Barbarian is by far the coolest character for many reasons. For one, the Barbarian shows the kind of power that will be available in Diablo 3. His brute force tears through monsters of all kinds and by this force, is a self sustainable character. Not only is his strength amazing, his defense makes him the perfect tank. He can not only deal a lot damage, but also can take a hit. He can wear plate armor which also helps him take a hit. This is why the Barbarian is the coolest.
I love the barb, obviously. But to me, the Demon Hunter is shaping up to be seriously badass. I cant wait to unleash that nasty volley of arrows on all the demons in the way.
The barbarian I will be tanking and pillageing the demons of hell. When I come across the foul demon diablo he shall have a swift death by my axe. He cannot defeat me for I have a shield of iron. I shall not fear him for i have Insane Courage. I Shall fight for my people
Well i believe that the most incredible charachter would be the wizzard. He will be THE pvp master with the abilities to teleport and slow time. Also we saw defensive cd's like diamond skin in the pvp gameplay . Moreover he's skill Animation is simply incredible ( i especially love ray of frost). So a character who can slow his oponents and do vast ammounts of damage while he can also cc them in a zero time space (for them) and then saly them at will and be 4 charachters (illusions) is... AWSOME
The best character is clearly the barbarian. The melee aspect may be a little harder for some to adapt (as it was for me in diablo 2), but the fact that (s)he is the only class that branched off from diablo 2 (unless you consider the sorc and wizard the same...) states that it is the most badass. Especially because whirlwind is as well branched. Plus, who doesn't like seeing seeing their character spin in a circle while they are splashed with bloody gore? So sick.
I do not like the new cooldown system because it takes away the hack n slash feeling in the game and thats what its all about in diablo raw slaughter!
@MrHellfrozt Amen my brother. Cooldowns are good for WoW not for fast paced h'n's. If talents system works similar to D2 how Blizz expect me to put 20 points in to skill that i will use every two minutes? As long as i have mana i should be able to use any offensive skill i want. If any cooldown is in the game it should only apply to defensive/buffing auras or healing spells. I just wana kill. kill fast, kill efective. I have enough worrying about cd while raiding FL. I dont want that in D3.

Budhissm is a big thing for me because I had to overcome a pretty big obstacle in my life. I'd say the most bad ass class is definately the monk because of that. Plus, deflecting spells? Come on...Bad. Ass.
I think that the Witch doctor is gonna be the best and the most chosen character at launch. It has a wide variety of skills and also can stay out of harms way but in the event that he has to fight he has spells to scare monsters away. The witch doctor can also spawn creatures and power up his creatures with another one of his skills. All the more reason why the witch doctor is gonna be my favorite and many others.
I think the longer cool downs are designed to be like ultimate/nuke moves where you would only chose 1 or 2 and have 5 low cool-down damage/buff abilities similar to world of warcraft's holy shite abilities.
Demon Hunter, of course! If Supernatural taught me anything it's that if there are demons there are also people who will hunt them, and since hunting/killing them it's what the best for humanity I WANT TO DO IT :D Also, Van Helsing was a hunter :P
I'm going to play as the Wizard because that's my occupation in the real world and it would be a good chance to see how faithfully Blizzard represented our trade within this simulation of death.

Coolest and most bad-ass class in D3? Definitely, Demon hunters. With a crossbow in each hand no demon / beast / undead can get close enough to leave nary a dent nor a scratch on her shiny, spanky, awesome armor.

I don't mind the cooldown system - we'll have to see. It's actually nice to be able to use a lot more skills. In D2, you often spam the same 1 or 2 (maybe 3?) skills. I think it's nice to have different abilities for different situations - it creates richer and deeper gameplay. The cooldowns make the choices non-trivial. You never know - those high level abilities can be so bad-ass that their effects are so cool and devastating that you'll want them anyway.
duh the barbarian who wouldn't want to hack and slash you'r enimes with two big ass cleavers and be able to create a shock wave of force to decimate you'r enimes

I think the most badass class in Diablo 3 is the barbarian because he just hits stuff and it dies. He is also the coolest class because of his ability to replicate Cloud Strifes Blade Beam ability, but in a more badass manner. Check it out for yourself

the game will be great no doubt, but I was kind of dissapointed when we stil waited for the release of the new "dark character" and this role came to be the demon hunter. I really hoped for something like a half-deamon wearing infernal powers, fallen angel using twisted divine powers or even an undead character revived to fight in the shadow of good. Really hoped for something like this :D

@cmudo18 no because just like what happened in WoW (not comparing it to wow at all) when the death knight was introduced, everyone and their mom re-rolled to be a DK and 70% of everyone was a damn DK. and that would happen in D3, you want the classes to be equally as useful and as cool so people dont extremely favor one or the other and they choose based upon there own personal preference

OBVIOUSLY THE MONK IS THE MOST BADASS CHARACTER! firstly he is the only character to have a full on beard (which is enough in itself) but secondly that he can redirect casted spells. also he hits like a boss close up. definitely the new favourite, and i havent even been on the game....

The barb is a shoe in. Who doesnt love a giant armr clad neandrothol lumbering arround hacking his foes to bits with a weapon the size of a car. That is unless you can stop/repel missels with a little mana, teleport in with explosive results, or get to distance to send in the explosion. At the end of the day all thats left is a shady character with an orb in ther hand standing above a heap of scrap metal. All the rest can try to enjoy the rest of their day.

isthere going to be pvp/duleing? if so players well fix there skill tree for pvp ore pve. you where refering to the skills with the lg cd the big hit skils thees sound like thy well be better used for pvp and boss fights. in d2 thy made the tokkens to redue skills so im suer in d3 there well be a skill reset system also in wow. so im shure way we well play d2 is to reset skills accourding to what you fell like deing........

To me i prefer one of the newer classes... the Witch Doctor. Mostly since he is a can be a ranged and up close character and still be very affective at both ranges. If he is able to do that i'm wanting to make him my first new character. He can throw fore balls that explode and yet the sorceress poison nova ring. I believe the Witch Doctor is the most bad ass compared to the rest. The others either ook cool, like the Demon-Hunter, or scary, like the barbarian.

Absolultely witchdoctor. Itsbasically invinceble.... Summons pets have high damage. The Barbarian i never really liked a boring character in my opinion. Demon hunter is like a hybrid of assasin and amazon so taht wil lbe interesting.

Witch Doctor! Definately the WD, u can tell that this guy will be completely awsome at both low and higher levels, u can tell that this class will be mostly completely power-based, that fireball move at high level is gona own, the release of bigger-bad ass pets, cool looking tiers, just the shear way he walk and talks! ooh my god, this guy is gona be the Necro of Diablo 2, the guy everyone wants to be, but dont wana level ;D, but in this case, we do want to level! the WD will defo be my main :)

Take a lesson from the original terminator. The barbarian was there to destroy all 3 prime evils. The barb was the only character to make it to the new Diablo. In a dungeon with small corridors and tight spaces he excels. He's all tattooed up from his stint in jail and he has a beard to make some dwarves jealous. Plus he is on steroids which gives him an edge in diablo or when he plays professional baseball. All in all rape, pillage and plunder are whats best in life to him!

how do you guys think you'll be spending talent points? I plan on playing a barbarian and playing heavily in arenas (aswell as pve). I plan on maxing points in offensive abilities and putting 1 point in defensive skills such as that wall that reduces damamge over X seconds, but maxing sprint since it can be used both offensively or deffensively. Any suggestions or ideas?

i personally think the tier based cool downs is a good idea, (use d2 skill names as examples) say you have cleave, its a short cooldown and it kills minor enemies in about 1 - 3 uses. Whirlwind would kill the entire wave in one use, and is still powerful against elites and bosses, but at the cost of long cooldowns. With this system we can get spells that feel epic, without just right click meteor'ing our way through an area.

I think the demon hunter is the coolest, because she (I'm referring as female due to the trailer) brings sheer terror to the demons. Her sense of vengeance frightens both allies and enemies alike. Chainbombing the demon heads is probably the most brutal way you can ever kill a demon, but also the most satisfying.
Oh and of course, dual wielding crossbows is simply bad-ass, as long as she does that, I am going to play the Demon Hunter.

I believe the monk is the absolute definition of a bad ass. His overall appearance is deceptive, for his fists of fury will pummel anybody into smithereens. Not only does the monk possess skills that are offensive, but he also has auras and buffs that give him survivability . The monk also resembles a human the most, unlike mages with lightning etc. I mean, look at the monk, he doesnt even need to use weapons! he uses his bare hands to fight and also his trademark chuck norris round house kick!

From my understanding of mmorpgs, it is highly recommended to place skill points in high tiered skills (even with long cooldowns). although leveling low leveled skills may yield more damage over the cool down of the high tier skill, the damage from the high tier skill is instantaneous and a character may need this when say, fighting in short battles. Plus, the animations of high tier skills are usually mind blowing!

From what i have seen so far, the witch doctor is the coolest character. He makes some pretty awesome noises when he uses his skills, and dresses like a bawss. Furthermore, The other classes just arent as cool : demon hunter doesnt seem "magical enough", barbarian is too cliche, wizard doesnt seem powerful enough and the monk in my oppinion is a boring ninja barbarian hybrid. You may say that in the storyline, the barbarian is the most important. To them i say BprBab(witch doctor noises).

This looks like the biggest bust of an anticipated game ever. The whole system of Diablo is so archaic that is is simply behind it's time. They had to completely change the gameplay but keep the lore and character's for it to be a high quality game. I can understand if there is no monthly sub, then the game will sell big time. But what a waste to not make Diablo a monthly sub game that is based off the MMO genre. They could have make a real monster of an MMO, i bet other companies are laughing.

I'm not interested in this week's prize, but I wanted to name my most badass char anyway: The Witch doctor, because he survives hits from the Siegebreaker Assault Beast with only a few feathers and some fluttering fabric as armor, even tho' he's just an old skinny guy. I guess it will be the same against any boss (i.e. Diablo), as all his armor is in the same style...

I believe the Wizard is the most badass character. Why? Well, not only do the wizards have extremely cool spells, the spells they have are quite useful in all retrospects of the game. Slowtime causes everything in it to slow other than you, therefore all you have to do is make sure to move away from slaughtering demons and then Ray of Frost them and Disintegrate them. Then teleport can stun all around you causing just enough time to completely decimate their numbers. Plus each spell looks sweet

I believe the inventory has changed a lot in D2 the inventory was limited by a number of slots that items would take up. Some items would take up more slots than others. In D3 I think it works te same except every item takes up 1 space however I hear there is a system in place to basically instantaneously sell/salvage ur items to its pretty much infinite in D3

The Barbarian shapes out to be an important figure for the Diablo universe, he was one of the heroes who defeated Diablo and his brothers 20 years ago AND survived, both physically and mentally. I think his return as a playable character makes him the coolest.

You see, ever since word of Diablo 3, and the news that the barbarian would be a playable class, I wanted to spec/gear towards a "berserker" build barbarian. Little did I realize until this vid that the latest test build that blizz has for Diablo 3, ACTUALLY HAS A SKILL TREE CALLED BERSERKER FOR BARBARIANS! I could not be any more excited about this. I'm going for a full berserk rage killing machine of a barb.

The most badass class imo is the Witch Doctor, he poors acid on his enemies, unleashes locust storms, and confuses his enemies into killing each other. He's bascially moses crossed with a cannibal, mixed in with an apothecary. I cant wait to make a pure plague, and acid master without any summons. Plus he can wear voodoo masks

Personally, I like the monk. I usually like the more ranged classes, but that's getting kind of old for me. The monk to me is even more badass than the barbarian because:
Barb = "You can hit me but I'll hit you harder" (which is awsome!)
Monk = "I can hit you all I want, and you can't touch me" (Which is EPIC)

i prefer the close range combat characters, but the witch doctor looks to be an unstoppable force. i get the vibe that its the mixture of a necromancer and sorceress, respectively. I cant really see a better idea for a character. and its also original. you dont see that in many games, and if there is a type of witch doctor in a game your just buying potions from it.

I think the Barbarian is by far the coolest character for many reasons. For one, the Barbarian shows the kind of power that will be available in Diablo 3. His brute force tears through monsters of all kinds and by this force, is a self sustainable character. Not only is his strength amazing, his defense makes him the perfect tank. He can not only deal a lot damage, but also can take a hit. He can wear plate armor which also helps him take a hit. This is why the Barbarian is the coolest.

Well i believe that the most incredible charachter would be the wizzard. He will be THE pvp master with the abilities to teleport and slow time. Also we saw defensive cd's like diamond skin in the pvp gameplay . Moreover he's skill Animation is simply incredible ( i especially love ray of frost). So a character who can slow his oponents and do vast ammounts of damage while he can also cc them in a zero time space (for them) and then saly them at will and be 4 charachters (illusions) is... AWSOME

The best character is clearly the barbarian. The melee aspect may be a little harder for some to adapt (as it was for me in diablo 2), but the fact that (s)he is the only class that branched off from diablo 2 (unless you consider the sorc and wizard the same...) states that it is the most badass. Especially because whirlwind is as well branched. Plus, who doesn't like seeing seeing their character spin in a circle while they are splashed with bloody gore? So sick.

@MrHellfrozt Amen my brother. Cooldowns are good for WoW not for fast paced h'n's. If talents system works similar to D2 how Blizz expect me to put 20 points in to skill that i will use every two minutes? As long as i have mana i should be able to use any offensive skill i want. If any cooldown is in the game it should only apply to defensive/buffing auras or healing spells. I just wana kill. kill fast, kill efective. I have enough worrying about cd while raiding FL. I dont want that in D3.

I think that the Witch doctor is gonna be the best and the most chosen character at launch. It has a wide variety of skills and also can stay out of harms way but in the event that he has to fight he has spells to scare monsters away. The witch doctor can also spawn creatures and power up his creatures with another one of his skills. All the more reason why the witch doctor is gonna be my favorite and many others.

I think the longer cool downs are designed to be like ultimate/nuke moves where you would only chose 1 or 2 and have 5 low cool-down damage/buff abilities similar to world of warcraft's holy shite abilities.

I don't mind the cooldown system - we'll have to see. It's actually nice to be able to use a lot more skills. In D2, you often spam the same 1 or 2 (maybe 3?) skills. I think it's nice to have different abilities for different situations - it creates richer and deeper gameplay. The cooldowns make the choices non-trivial. You never know - those high level abilities can be so bad-ass that their effects are so cool and devastating that you'll want them anyway.
