Nosferatu7777 is WRONG about the tempo. I think it's too slow, not too fast. As a matter of fact, the professional recordings of this piece are over in about 5 minutes, not 7 as he plays it here! Two minutes difference in a piece this short is a BIG difference in tempo. I'm recording this piece on an all-Liszt album this month, and if it's more than five minutes it won't fit! Despite this, thank you justin thank you for sharing this beautiful and little known piece!
That seems pretty good to me, but needs more dynamic shading and work (not entirely the microphone's fault)on the texture and melodic shape (keeping the accomanying texture under the surface and the melody singing more). That's just from a profesisonal viewpoint though. Did you know this the first round test piece in the Wrocklaw International Ferenc Liszt competition in Poland? It's obviously there for a reason, it's very subtle and not easy to play well. Good work, man, keep it up.
Thanks Donnie. I try to ignore stupid comments. Besides, my cheap little video camera microphone isn't going to pick up neuances of dynamics. Unfortunately loud is usually all you get.
Some people are vultures (nosferatu7777). I will never understand how people get pleasure in trying to tear others down. This is no an easy piece by any means. You played it as if you were saying "THIS is how it goes." Very convincing performance. (get that high g-sharp touched-up though!! LOL)
sorry, not good

Critiqueing someone is OK, but you could have left off the "Do you have some musical education?" That was probably the "over the top" comment.
