@ smharb1 Why ALMOST as good? Do we not know that she shared the Leventritt prize with Pinchas Zuckerman in 1967? The jury could not decide who was better. So if the jury was not biased, they were EQUALLY good. But if the jury was biased, which way would the bias go? We all know that Isaac Stern was on the jury and there might even be other Jewish members. But most likely there were no Koreans on the jury. So figure it out. By the way, I am neither Jewish nor Korean.
@travonprince I love her and her performance and everything!
i agree with you about her expressions,
love her especially cause of her expressions ! and i started cracking up though at her faces cause it was like a worried gota poop expression then like a "ahh~ " i released it
the best bruch ive ever heard in my life! even in this video of her later years, her style has also matured. she's got such a rythmic style to her playing, and i love the fact that even though she is so petite and has a light quality to her playing, she's got such powerful attacks at the same time.
She became more angular in her approach as she got older for some reason. In an interview, she said her passion for the violin has increased "ten-fold". I wonder what she thinks of her own playing as in order to project such dynamic performances on record and in concert halls, she probably has to exaggerate and draw out every single nuance in the music. If her playing sounds like this in this video, I really wonder what her playing is really like if I were to stand right beside her.

@violinmusicfan You are right. She is getting better and better with age. It will be interesting to see how Sarah Chang progresses.

Not only is she the most passionate (hers isn't blind, thoughtless energy), she is the most imaginative and insightful.
