I got a powerstroke 6.0l I really love fords, but its one of the biggest piece of shit engines i have driven, plenty of horses just breaks down allot, im 16 so when it breaks down i gotta work forever to fix it my dad pays half, im pretty sure the chip is the problem though.

Now that is real torque, and you can use it for tons of usable things like trailering shitload amount of stuff, and sametime race and beat stupid civics etc.

Some performance chips or programers claim to boost hp up to 200 or more. I know a performance chip basically just cause's a rich condition. But adding more fuel isnt going to add 200 hp. Is it? What else do these chips do? thanks.

No, those chips and tuners claim to add that much power, but it's not that much. Yes, they tune the injectors to pump more fuel into the combustion chamber, but they also tune the automatic transmission (if you have one) to shift differently. These chips also generate more boost from your turbo. Be sure you have EGT (exhaust gas temperature), Boost, Transmission temperature, and oil temperature gauges as you will have to monitor these when you install a tuner or chip.

I live in France where more than 70% of cars run on diesel, and even though our diesel cars are sooo much cleaner and efficient than american diesels, i still find them senseless, stincky, etc.

Gasoline engines may be noxious (sulphur), they are damn XXX times at least less noxious than diesels. That horrible black smoke is full of particles that make lung cancers. I don't even talk about NOX and other shit that diesels throw out.
