I like Sony, but David made a really valid point. It's funny how many Sony fanboys are calling the 3DS trash and the 3DS fanboys are calling the NGP trash. This is quite amusing, both systems are unique to their own franchise so stop getting all butt hurt over this mundane topic.

I agree with @TheMkreptile8860, I have the 3DS and I think the PS Vita and 3DS are both awesome. Only thing I've got with the PS Vita is the price. I only get £10 a week from a paper round, so I'll let my money build up and then see whether the Wii U or the PS Vita looks best.

@MrBlindMode depends on the user man, the vita will have more serious games while the 3ds aims to be more fun and aimed at a younger crowd. the 3ds is cheaper too. i'm sure the ps vita will sell but i really doubt it will surpass the 3ds. maybe if it gets a price drop. im going to get a vita too though haha

This is truly ignorant. What more innovation do you want from the Vita? It has amazing tech specs, rear touch pad, touch screen, front facing camera, back camera, duel analog sticks, and already a strong launch line up. As for the size, well, seen the new 3DS analog stick add on? You know more developers will take advantage of it, so prepare to carry a giant, bulky rectangle with you. You may dislike the Vita, but that doesn't mean it sucks. Come back when your logic isn't flawed.

@Nintendo3DS On the other hand, I personally hate nintendo's ruination of innovation, look at how long it took, (and note that a 3rd party company had to fix) for a decent motion controlled game (skyward sword) to be released. I think the WII and the DS in general are a great step backwards for gamers, they took the non-gaming community by storm though.
For a game to be released in 2011, with no voice acting, no HD graphics and a story that has been told before is shameful.

@cellphonevideos135 There is no inovation in either portable. They both use old tech. However, both have done something "new to a portable system". Ps vita, two thumbsticks and ps3 gameshare interfaceing with 3g. 3ds, 3d graphics. I enjoy the 3ds, even though it is pretty much just a dsi with 3d. @gamerx2001 Back then there was the colecovision and intelevision (arguably with better graphics) yet the one who persevered was the atari, "people like to see amazing visuals" yeah right, the wii sold more units than any other console and its the worst one graphic wise, i have a vita and a few launch tittles and it didn't even come close to deliver at my expectations whatsoever,and i don't even have a 3DS yet I prefer the 3ds over the vita

@gamerx2001 i was in gamestop the other day looking for a decent ps3 game for my 5 year old, i couldnt find not one freindly used ps3 game for my kid so i just got him a wii game zelda twilight princess, and he is still playing some downloaded game on my ps3 i asked him which does he like better ps3 or wii he says ps3 i asked why he says it looks better on the screen and its easier to play with the controller.

The 3DS was an impressive innovation to the other DS portables; The PSVita is a brand new overhaul to Sony's portable gaming. (Hence it's not the PSP 4000..) Both systems have desirable features that benefit to each his own ranging from the type of games you like or even your age group. However, I have not seen one single argument you have made to benefit either portable system. You even brought apple into context. This proves to me you are nothing more than a Sony hater. Do some research.

You look like Michael Cera and your arguments have no facts behind them. You're entitled to your opinion, but at least give an actual reason. Also, you probably didn't even know all of the launch titles when you posted this video. Some of the weren't announced for a few more months.
I think 3DS/Vita is behind Tablet/Smartphone gaming personally. There's always the almighty "button" argument, but the fact of the matter is, the buttons on a handheld game system aren't and will never be as good as on an actual game controller. I think Touch Screen plays to the strengths of the portability of those platforms. Plus it seems innovation on tablets/smartphones as far as games is a lot more present, and games that offer console-like experiences are available, its not all Angry Birds
@downphoenix True, but there will never be as many, or as full gaming experiences as there are on the Vita and 3DS. Tablets are limited to however much memory you can afford when you buy it, and you can't use an external memory card to store any of it. On top of this, the most complete gaming experience that I've seen on a tablet was Final Fantasy III, which was available for normal ds sooner, could only be linked on the ds version, and the controls were a bit awkward/laggy on the tablet.
@x54xHantamachine Final Fantasy Tactics is also available on Iphone/Ipad, the iOS platform has a lot of RPGs now. As far as memory, some tablets and phones have up to 64GB built in, a PSP UMD holds about 2GB, so assuming we are using that as a reference of comparison, that's 32+ games it could hold of that caliber. The real number would be a lot larger as someone who owns such a device wouldnt be downloading all RPGs and such, they would have some others thrown in the mix.
@downphoenix Still, companies that make popular games won't be jumping into tablet gaming. They're more interested in gimmicks and graphics offered by their own or other company's systems. I think one of the big scale tippers here is the buttons. It just makes controls so much less awkward. Also, tablets tend to be... Laggy...
@x54xHantamachine companies like square enix, capcom, and ea are shifting to these devices. Hell, EA more or less has done this completely, and have reported sales revenue in that segment being better than they ever were for them on handhelds, and thats with games being for as cheap as $1 instead of usual $30-50 for handheld games. So, companies get more money, consumers pay less for them, seems win-win to me.
@downphoenix That's because nobody who plays handhelds is dumb enough to purchase an EA game.There are plenty of boneheads with itouchs/pads willing to spend their money on any remotely decent sounding game. Also, I have heard no proof of either Capcom or Square Enix shifting to them.Capcom just released a new Monster Hunter in Japan and made almost a million in the first few days of sales.Square Enix is planning on releasing FFVIII 2 soon.Neither of these games will have ipad/touch incarnations

The titles misleading, he's interested in the PSVita, hes just saying it doesnt have much "New". The 3DS is essentially a dsi w/ 3D, better graphics and new features. I never used a PSP before but I do like the DS, and I liked the N64 and PSX as well as the NGC and the PS2. Whew!

both handheld are really cool, they both offer what they can and they both work.
nintendo may not have good graphics but they make up for it by excellent game play
sony and xbox, focus a little more on graphics than the overall game play.

This is truly ignorant. What more innovation do you want from the Vita? It has amazing tech specs, rear touch pad, touch screen, front facing camera, back camera, duel analog sticks, and already a strong launch line up. As for the size, well, seen the new 3DS analog stick add on? You know more developers will take advantage of it, so prepare to carry a giant, bulky rectangle with you. @Nintendo3DS On the other hand, I personally hate nintendo's ruination of innovation, look at how long it took, (and note that a 3rd party company had to fix) for a decent motion controlled game (skyward sword) to be released. I think the WII and the DS in general are a great step backwards for gamers, they took the non-gaming community by storm though.
For a game to be released in 2011, with no voice acting, no HD graphics and a story that has been told before is shameful.

Ps vita, two thumbsticks and ps3 gameshare interfaceing with 3g. 3ds, 3d graphics. I enjoy the 3ds, even though it is pretty much just a dsi with 3d. At the same time I believe that the vita will also be an enjoyable system. Im not here to compare tho, im just letteing the vid guy know that his comments are completely biased.

I think 3DS/Vita is behind Tablet/Smartphone gaming personally. There's always the almighty "button" argument, but the fact of the matter is, the buttons on a handheld game system aren't and will never be as good as on an actual game controller. I think Touch Screen plays to the strengths of the portability of those platforms. Plus it seems innovation on tablets/smartphones as far as games is a lot more present, and games that offer console-like experiences are available, its not all Angry Birds

@downphoenix True, but there will never be as many, or as full gaming experiences as there are on the Vita and 3DS. Tablets are limited to however much memory you can afford when you buy it, and you can't use an external memory card to store any of it. On top of this, the most complete gaming experience that I've seen on a tablet was Final Fantasy III, which was available for normal ds sooner, could only be linked on the ds version, and the controls were a bit awkward/laggy on the tablet.

@x54xHantamachine Final Fantasy Tactics is also available on Iphone/Ipad, the iOS platform has a lot of RPGs now. As far as memory, some tablets and phones have up to 64GB built in, a PSP UMD holds about 2GB, so assuming we are using that as a reference of comparison, that's 32+ games it could hold of that caliber. The real number would be a lot larger as someone who owns such a device wouldnt be downloading all RPGs and such, they would have some others thrown in the mix.

Hell, EA more or less has done this completely, and have reported sales revenue in that segment being better than they ever were for them on handhelds, and thats with games being for as cheap as $1 instead of usual $30-50 for handheld games. So, companies get more money, consumers pay less for them, seems win-win to me.

Also, I have heard no proof of either Capcom or Square Enix shifting to them.Capcom just released a new Monster Hunter in Japan and made almost a million in the first few days of sales.Square Enix is planning on releasing FFVIII 2 soon.Neither of these games will have ipad/touch incarnations

People just need to calm down, just get what console you want... me on the otherhand, I'll just have both, and laugh at each side of the fanboys..... while I enjoy titles from both sony and nintendo... but David here has a point and even though it's his opinion doesn't make it not true, and theres no need to take personal offence to it ... PEOPLE graphics and power do not sell consoles.. GAMES DO... and both companies have good games.. so heres the SOLUTION get BOTH and stop crying
