its not the gun its how you use it. ive gotten a perfect FFA about 6 times with that trench gun

Double barrel is arguably worse. The thin is, there is a perk that helps out both of them. Double tap on the trench gun makes it pump twice as fast so if you do get it hit marker you can usually follow it up with another shot before dying. With the double barrel, it's all about sleight of hand. With these perks, the shotguns are still under powered but it evens out the playing field.

The Model 1897 or "Trench Gun" can fire rapidly because there is no trigger disconnecter which causes it to "Slam Fire" as soon as it pumps.

i would play this game but i fucking hate headbob and other constant screen shakes in this and evry other fps game,all they do now is add more screen shakes,blur,blom and visual effects like that and make fov smaller and all that causes headache and eye strain for me

Hey I think the Trench Gun is beast... I never get hitmarkers with it. But maybe that's because I play Hardcore... (Derp) I love Hardcore because guns are not overpowered in Hardcore. In fact, the MP40 plain sucks in Hardcore unless you use Stopping Power. WaW is one of my all-time favorite games...

normally i use mg42. but once on dome i was getting shot in the back by tommy guns so often. then i started using the tommy and not that i was good but I owned so freakin hard the kept trying to vote me away. I think we should consider the thompson a noob weapon to. the 60 percent who used the mp40 switched now to the tommy to be less gay. you dont need to aim its just a spray weapon unlike the mg42 which fire rate has been halfed unfortunately

The problem is its hard to get in games nowadays, especially if you don't have the map packs. it kicks you from the lobby if you don't have the map so it makes it super annoying. I'd say no. its only worth playing if you have all the maps, and they're too expensive to be worth it.

The trench gun is not that bad compared to what? I struggle to use it more than any other weapon in World at War. The second hardest gun for me to use is probably the M1 Grand.
