A doctor of chiropractic is trained to determine when referring to a different provider for further management or co-management is in the best interest of the patient. MDs are not the only "real doctors". There are optometrists, dentists, osteopaths, chiropractors, veterinarians, naturopaths, psychologists and now physical therapists.
@franta.... You have a misconception about chiropractic medicine. Diagnosis, Spinal Manipulation, therapeutic exercises, rehabilitation, clinical nutrition, biomechanics, lifestyle management, physical medicine, preventative medicine are all part of chiropractic today. chiropractic os not a treatment modality. Chiropractic is a conservative approach to treatment that emphasizes healing without the need of drugs or surgery. A doctor of chiropractic is trained to screen a patient to determine
@frantahouska Of course chiropractors are not medical doctors. We are not licensed by the medical board. (at least in most states.) Chiropractors are chiropractors and medical doctors are medical doctors.
@frantahouska I'm unsure I'd relate chiropractic to voodoo...but, if it works for that percentage of people...does it matter? If it doesn't work for them, they can always try their M.D. or try something like physical therapy or acupuncture.
@frantahouska That's not what I asked. My question was ...but, if it works for that percentage of people...does it matter?" This can be answered with a simple Yes or No. Not trying to have a long winded discussion here. You have your opinion, and I respect it.
I had no idea that chiropractors studied so long. I knew they had to be highly trained, but that's way more than I expected. Alana's expression at 1:34 sums it all up.
omg when he was explaining the school requirements your face was priceless, and when you guys started playing operation I nearly fell off my chair laughing. I dont know about anyone else but Ilana in a lab coat seems totally legit and that pat on his back totally cured him. Im sold, Dr. Illana is my new chiropracter, we can talk about my health insurance later!

I feel bad for chiropractors. They do tons and tons of study and then no one will acknowledge them as "real" doctors.
I guess the pay check helps.
