Anyone who thinks long nails are disgusting and gross must have been born after 1985 because that's when long nails as a common thing began to die. During the 1970's if you looked at a department store catalog or watched a beauty pageant I would GUARANTEE that ALL the women had long nails back then. I remember as far back as grade school girls were competing with each other to see who could grow their nails the longest. By Jr. High (Mid '70's) several girls had 1/2 - 1 inch long nails. HONEST!
