if you study from Mishneh torah you can not use Vilna edition that is ubiquitos it is full of mistakes sometimes rendering opisite the intended psak, you need a yemenite edition which is copied from manuscripts. yemenites hold by rambam
100%. All manuscript (hand-written) versions of Mishne Torah, whether from Europe, Yemen, Iran, or elsewhere -- they are all much more similar to one another than any of them are similar to the standard Vilna edition. This is undeniable logical indication that there is a major problem with the Vilna edition. Ashkenazi hand-written Mishne Torah are more similar to the Yemenite versions than they are the standard Ashkenazi printed editions.
Maimonides would encourage the full embrace of maths and science back in the Middle Ages.but now ? when there is overwhelming evidence against his core beliefs.he would be nothing better than a modern day Kent E. Hovind.why is he thought of as such a great thinker ? he had some ludicrous ideas.david hume would blow him away.and yes i grew up in an orthodox home, thank god i'm now a free thinker
oneparkave, kol haKavod lekha for encouraging people to learn Rambam. Even if a person doesn't desire to keep halakha as presented by Rambam, there is no other system as systematic and complete for learning the entirity of our Torah obligations. Shevahh lelohenu!
Anyone can make just about anything interesting. It takes a humble soul to seek out the right path even when it's not so popular, and present what he understands is true and beneficial, even when it may not be perceived as interesting ;)
anyone can read from a book. It takes a good teacher to make it interesting. There are already Jewish Audio classes for those who know how to find it. What Yeshiva do you go to?

Proverbs 3:12 "For whom the L-RD loves He reproves, even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights."
