  • Children of Men should've been #1.

  • @Noonxy20k A good case for that could certainly be made. It was a very good film.

  • I just wanna have sex with Naomi Watts and make king kong watch... thats all..

  • @MarkCampy Hmmm

  • avatar the 1st

  • number 1 minority report hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @dilzas23 What would you have chosen as #1?

  • good list liked all except for I am legend and avatar (good but didnt do it for me), primer is one of my favorites watched that 10 tens and still not 100% about what is going on

  • @canman1878 Thanks for that. Avatar and I am Legend were both flawed, so I am probably more inlined to disagree with someone who says they are the best ever. Avatar was an impressive techical achievement, and the most interesting 'character' of the film was the planet Pandora. I am Legend was much better when the monsters were offstage, and in the eerie depictions of lonliness and desolation.

  • @seaturtlefilms

Might give it another shot just found the cheesy lines from Will Smith ruined it for me

  • @canman1878 I agree with revolutionsf that it is a 4 star film during the daytime scenes and a 2-star film at night.

  • Moon was a grat movie :)

  • @TheWestReaper Yes, it was terrific. Sam Rockwell's performance was tremendous; the story had lots of interesting ideas and was well told; the music was suitably moody and stark. It was a great debut by Duncan Jones.

  • I really don't like the Will Smith movies on the list. Don't like Will SMith particulary to begin with but I am legend s a terrible adaption of a great novel. I completly spoils the vision of Mattheson. And I know I, robot only have the name for commercial reason, but still it wants to be a story "inspired by asimov" and it's far far away from the intelligence of a true asimov story

  • @AirikrStrife The action sequences detracted from both films, but both had redeeming features. When a film is based on another source it is often judged on how faithful it is to that source, rather than how good it is in its own right. Asimov's three laws were integral to the plot of Robot, and their implications intelligently explored. Smith's acting when there were no zombies on screen was the strong point of Legend.

  • about half of the list I haven't seen, so I'll have to keep an eye out for them. I agree with WallE, but I have to disagree with Avatar. I just didn't like it, to me it was 3 hours watching uninteresting characters, with little pay off at the end, but thats just me. If you like it thats great, 3 hours worth it.

  • @SuperShadowbuster Avatar is here because of the world of Pandora created in rich and intricate detail, and for the technically impressive achievement in 3D. You are right that the story and characters were fairly routine, but I enjoyed the story enough, and there were some interesting sci-fi ideas there. I suppose Avatar gets here for being a significant movie. I admire James Cameron for advancing technical aspects of filmmaking in many of his films.

  • @seaturtlefilms I'm not the biggest fan of James Cameron. I like Terminator 1 & 2 but apart from them the only thing I admire is the fact that his films do have female leads that are strong characters.

  • @seaturtlefilms I would always rate in number 1, it's my fave :)

  • @SuperShadowbuster I loved it

  • hmmm, that's close to what I rate as the top 20.
