I'm still learning to play as Seth so I'm sure this sounds like a noob question but bear with me please. Does anyone know how to cancel out the shoryuken at 0:16 into the tri-stomp move ? Any help is appreciated.

No cancel at 0:16, just do an anti air LP shoryuken, early enough. This gives you enough time to land and then jump (in order to do the stomps) whilst your opponent is still airborne. Also as a side note to do the dive kick at the end you have to jump towards your opponent, nuetral jump won't work and do your head stomps early so that at the peak of your jump you can do the dive kick. Hope this helps.

I'm no seth player,but i think he did a light shoryuken while sagat was in mid air to give him quick recovery. Right afterward he jumped up and did the down kick move.

You dont cancel it out. You anti air then with 1 shoryuken and then you jump up and juggle them with the stomp. THen do a down + fierce kick at the end.

I dont play as seth but i think its similar to ryu's light punch shoryuken, if you hit the player while he is jumping in attack with a light puch shoryuken and the player will be launched higher into the air than usual giving you time to land and go into a tri stomp. Hope that helps not entirly sure but its a great way to set up ryus ultra and super.

in my opinion, this guy is WAY too agressive. hes constantly jumping in with seth. if u take 1 tiger uppercut from sagat when ur seth, its nearly a quarter of ur bar. u cant play him like ryu, u cant take so many risks, his stamina doesnt have room for it. i think hes great with combos, and he knows when some tricks will wear out and to mix it up.and to those who disagree and will go "WELL Y DONT U TRY AND USE SETH!" i do. im still impressed tho, i just wished he wud have focused once or twice.

Yes. The risk in successfully using a Saving Attack to deflect something is that you lose a bit of health, which gradually restores itself.

For example if you're across the screen from Ryu and he's throwing fireballs at you, you may want to deflect them with a Saving Attack and dash forward/backwards. However, if you get hit before your health restores itself, you'll take all of that extra damage, so Saving Attacks have to be used with some forethought.

I wouldn't call it deflecting, it's more like absorbing. Because when you successfully absord an attack, you gain a bit of Ultra meter.

seth and gouken aren't available in japan, they play in arcades. They're not outright banned, they just don't have a chance to use them.

There are players who are saying that because they want them banned in the US, however it's all rhetoric. Japan plays tournaments in arcades, arcade version doesn't have Gouken or Seth. You can't ban something that isn't in the game. So Japan doesn't BAN Gouken and Seth, they just don't play console tournaments.

It's more risky with Sagat as he seems slower (I often have hard time connecting his super)., especially that Kick.
