Hi to you other Regina's fanatics!

It makes me think of the Italian Maffia, especially the strange accent. Remember that in all of the movies refering to the Maffia, they are all the time asking for God and the Holy Virgin's support and protection.

In my opinion, might be the mother of one of the "Fathers" who's gonna grow up in the worst possible way and end up killing people.

But I agree with you : this song is WEIRD!

OK I search it and it might be a reference to "Carlos Marcello" who was a mobster at the head of New Orlean's Mafia in the XXth century "The Godfather". He went early to prison and then became associated with Costello, NY Godfather.

I think Regina knows how a lot of us feel about her older songs, including the ones not recorded. Who knows what she has planned for the future. I've got faith in her. Look what she did with 'A lesson in how fleeting preservation is' (Left Hand Song). She resurrected that one, and it's sooo beautiful how she did it. Her songs are like her little babies, I don't think she'll let any of them get lost to the past.

I jsut saw her two nights ago, the oldest song she played was love you're a whore. :( i reeeeeeeeally wish she played shit like this at concerts. it was my first time seeing her and now I regret getting into her old stuff so late because now i will never hear her perform it.

I feel the same- I saw her last week, and while it was amazing, I just wish I could hear her sing some of the older songs (that were never on albums) live. I feel like now I'm never going to hear a decent quality version of some. Like All the Rowboats, Begin to Hope (the song version), and Be Like a Cloud. *le sigh*

funny you shouuld say that-she's composing the music for a musical called Beauty. They say it'll camoe out around 2011 or so!

so she hasn't actually written a entire musical, but this is still pretty friggin awesome!
