Well they could've changed the order of events to make things less obvious. But in my opinion, the main problem isn't that the movie is bad (I don't think it's bad), it's that it didn't add much content besides what the trailer already provided. When a trailer basically summarizes a movie AND reveals all the important scenes/info, it just screws up the experience.

I still enjoyed this film. Trailers always seem better then the movie itself as they show most of the best parts of a film, condensed. Not that unreal that watching 2 hours of a movie with dialog and build up VS a few mins of chosen scenes backed by a song/soundtrack that evokes emotion to hook you, will possibly disappoint

I can't think of a movie/trailer combination where there is a larger gap between the epicness of the two. Can anyone think of any? This trailer is incredible (the NiN song is the MVP) But the movie was so disappointing. It has nothing to do with listening to critics. I saw with my own eyes. Second the writers of T3 created Katherine Brewster to replace Sarah Conner because Linda Hamilton refused to do it (and great call on her part) So now already these shit heads are fucking up the story. William Wisher Jr. may come back as a writer but that depends. As for the comics, which series are you talking about, they all have their own way of fucking it up.

2.they played out the huge battles portrayed in the first 3 films

But the first two are classics in movie history, that's why people still view them so highly. It's cool you preferred the fourth to the original, I respect your opinion but I LOVED T1 & T2, Reese & T-1000 were great characters. I don't think Marcus could've beaten the T-1000, Arnie had enough trouble with it.

Anyone who thinks this movie is as good as the first two films, truly has no concept of the series. T4 is terrible because they didn't make a good enough storyline that help bridge from the events of T3 (as mediocre as it was) to possibly a 5 and 6 movie (which I hope never gets made at this point). Bale really blew it because reportedly he was wanted to play Marcus but they got him to play Connor only after changes where made to the script. That's why it sucked. No excuses. It sucked.
