@Noutchka clark had gotten red k in his system b/c he kissed lois who was wearing red k lipstick ( he didtn know) and this scene was after lans and lexs engagment party. clark kidnaps lana and brings her to the barn then lex comes and then martha comes to sweat the red k out of clark, using the green k. thats a sum up of it, cuz its a great ep and u should watch it if u find it or have it

Why would Martha stop Clark from killing Lex, when she is supposed to be on her son's side??? As if you would save Lex given that he is marrying Lana, and Martha knows that Clark likes Lana.

she knows howmuch clark is against taking a life and she also knows he's not thinking at all about concequences when he's on red K. She saved clark from himself, she didnt want to save lex I think, she knows once he intentionally kills a person, he'll never feel like a good person anymore.
