  • Can you leave out the rice wine? I'm doing this for a school project, so i can't bring it in :')

  • Without Chinese and Chinese culture, Taiwanese will lose their identity.

  • @caomeidi What's the point of this statement? It's kind of stupid. Taiwanese are still using traditional chinese characters even though China has already given up using them. I highly doubt that Taiwanese will abandon the Chinese culture.

We Americans have our own identity, but we are not giving our British roots completely.

  • Without Chinese and Chinese culture, what would have been left with Taiwan?

  • @caomeidi Native Taiwanese culture. Native Taiwanese had been living on the island long before Chinese immigrants moved there.

  • You girls speak English like native white people. I'm just guessing you were raised in North America?

  • I'm coming to your house!! :P Maybe you teach me some too xD

  • LOL and btw! I couldn't help noticing one thing. 500 kilograms of beef. about 1000 pounds of beef. wooow all that meat from that little cut of beef:P

You asians really are amazing at what you do. That's one incredibly small half ton steak:

  • Well. Food is a piece of art in itself, I remember dining at a taiwanese place in sydney's china town. I so want to visit taiwan some day, I love cooking asian food as well. Learning from the natives is the most inspiring:).

  • u r beautiful,like the way u cook. ;)

  • Wow! Great recipe show! I used to go to the Chinese Cultural Plaza in Honolulu, Hawaii and there're 2 Taiwanese noodles shops there! So cozy, so small, unpretentious, and the produce are from local farms! Watching your show brings me back. I'm not sure where your video originates, but your presentation is casual, down-to-earth, awesome!

  • kikkoman :D

  • can you tell me where did you buy your wok?

  • omg I LOVE YOUR VIDEO, great descriptions (ur so eloquent) and EXCELLENT QUALITY

  • you are a cutie

  • I just tried your beef noodle recipe today. It was soooo good! Thank you!

  • don't forget to add Taiwanese vinegar as well xD

  • lol. Q Q = Pew Pew, om so hungry right now.....

  • lol she said 500kg I think she just mean g grams good video

  • ill beef your noodles

  • i cooked this exact recipe. the shank was a bit tough so cut it thinner. the shanghai noodle sucked! it was really soggy. try using a noodle thats thicker.

  • I can kind of guess the ingredients, but what is the clear liquide she poured into the dish and the candy like things?

  • @laramis the clear liquid is beef bone broth. the sugar is called "rock candy" which is sugar crystals.

  • @TramBTran Thanks!

  • Is there still a restaurant chain in Taiwan called "San Shang"? They specialized in Beef Noodle soup. I think they made it with star Anise and 5 spice....it was soo good!

  • 500 kilograms!! o.O

  • That food is like sex for your taste-buds.

  • you're the best!

  • Nice.

But, if you don't wanna make it, where to go in HKG for a good bowl?

  • Wow, this looks amazing! Beef noodle soup is my favorite, but I just moved to Hong Kong... can't find any! Can I come over for some? hahahahaha... but seriously...

  • Finally the filming is still and focused~ and u look sharp & pretty~

The cooking is easy to follow... Enjoy watching it :D

  • Your videos are beautifully produced. I can't seem to stop watching them. Keep up the good work!

One thing though. I cringed when you were cutting up your vegetables because your fingers tips were right by the blade! You should tuck your fingers in and let your knuckles guide the knife.

  • Lol! she said she's using about 500Kg of beef shank.;p That's half a ton for those of you who aren't into metric.

And as far as I'm concerned QQ refers mostly to noodles / pasta. It means al dante - has a biting texture.

  • Nice! would really luv to try some of those!!

what happened to the sound lag at the beginning & head cutting shots though...?!

  • Wow, that looks good. Also, if you don't mind me asking. What camera do you use? I'd really like to purchase a good quality DSLR camera but I have a hard time finding one at an affordable price

  • @Whoamazing83 try the canon EOS 550 D
