i liked the film to it redemmed the x-men after the crappy x-3 and eh wolverine film. i think bryan singer should stick with x-men cause x-1 x-2 fc are the best films in my view. i love the cameos to they were fun. good review.

To be honest I hated this movie... I think it was no better than the other crapy movies they've done so far... I don't think the screenwriter actually read comic before they come up with this fucking dumn stories... and why the blackguy the only one to die!!!

Xavier gets paralyzed from the waist down as a young man. But in X-Men 3 and Wolverine, he's walking around fine as an old man!

 im affraid the movie is actually shit and heres why: 1) bad continuity 2) lame characters (butterfly girl) 3) rushed story 4) it pretty much took a big shit on the original trilogy especially the third film which i really like ! 5) james macavoy was annoying 6) cubban missile crisis FUCK OFF ! 7) bryan singer is a twat that couldnt give a fuck about the x men franchise and would rather run off and make a pointless super man sequel, what a bender. kevin bacon was good but thats about it really !

I wasn't excited for this movie at all but it really caught me by surprised, I walked out of the theater with renewed faith in the X-men films! But I still think it will be no competition with Captain America.

I feel as though you were generous to this film and Hangover 2. It started very strong, but there were so many scenes as the movie wore on that were just borderline corny. Xavier seeing the oncoming missile crisis map, the training montage, or how names such as "X-Men" and "Magneto" came to be, had me chuckling at how much of a square peg some of the lines and shots were. It wasn't "Wolverine" bad.. but definitely not 5 stars; and absolutely a step down from the original trilogy.

so...reboot? prequel? please be a prequel because i dont care how good it is "dark kngiht" if it doesnt follow continuity with the original series, im gonna pass, sorry. but yea i heard wolverine is in it so....must be a prequel rite? but then beast already has fur? and other litle discrepancies. please fill me in on if its legit in continuity with no spoiler. (lol i sound like an asshole) but seriously this is bothering me cuz i love the first two x mens like i love the first to batmans.

excellent and strongly written film. who cares about wolverine? it's because of stupid fans that LOVE him, the movies don't focus on ALL the characters, this movie emotionally attatched me to ALL the characters, amazing film.

These films are re-imaginings of origin stories; from studios and directors who do not know or care for original source material.

I saw the midnight showing of it last night. :D It's brilliant! The cast, as you said, is brilliant; as well as the effects. They've definitely got the balance right between story and action. Deffo the best X-Men film so far. Although I do have to point out that there are inconsistencies between the comics and the movie; but when the movie's this good, who cares? e.g. Azazel is a demon, and Havok is s'posed to be Cyclops's younger brother yet here he's a teen(?) in the 1960s. Nuts.
