The remade stage wont be in our final Fan game, since it is a bit higher quality than our intended visual goal, to look like the Saturn version of the game.

Very nice! I'm working on a metal sonic model myself and I was browsing youtube for some good reference angles. I must say this is a spectacular model and stays very true to the style from Sonic CD. I know how difficult it must have been to get his head perfect, it's such an awkward shape and it's proving to be the most difficult part for me.

uhh...he IS an anthro furry...I just meant making him look like Sonic stil lbut not looking like a fake 3D character placed on the same picture as real ppl (Scooby-Doo didn't look like he was really there to me...) I mean to make it look like he's actually touchable by the humans around him

Actually, since the rise in the number of Sonic artists some time ago, Sonic art is now considered partly seperate to anthro art, especially since some people have drawn Sonic in a more anthro style.

he's described as an anthro hedgehog. He's anthro, and it's true as he is a hedgehog with a human-like body feature set. (like Felix, Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, etc) There's no such thing as Anthro ART except art of an anthro.

I just mean a live action flim of Sonic with an animated Sonic who looks like he's really there and not so stupid cheap effects like Scooby-Doo. (They made Transformers, Garfield and Alvin and the Chipmunks and Smeagle in Lord of the Rings all look pretty real)

Ya thanks alot, actually we're still working on the game. its comeing along slowly, may be awhile before we have a playable demo. that video with metal sonic is not in game sadly.

it was just a practice test on a metal sonic model that i was working on before we started the game, just wanted to add him in one of the levels we were working on to do an anamation test with the model. hes in a paused production state at the moment , but will have to finish him up later for some pre renderd sceans.

we're using a different metal sonic model for the game though,

The model were using in the game is a tweak of the original Metal sonic used in x-treme. The metal sonic you see here in the video though is from scratch.

Too bad its way to high polygon to use in a real time game, He will be used in the cut scenes for the fan game, and also A Sonic CD tribute video.

Ya i modeled that on and off for about a month. He's not quite finished though.

still have minor tweaking to do on his head and he needs his red eyes,

planing to do a short on Metal's first awakening. This is just a nice little test rendering.

By the way that stage is a recreation of a boss stage from Sonic X-treme. i know its not the same , but i wanted to change it a little.
