a banana is a giant herb . i grow ladyfingers,kavendish , dwarf kavs, monsamarie,and red daccas . i love growing bananas . they luv chicken poo and plenty of water but they need good drainage or they will rott .and plenty of hot sun .when i've chopped it down for the bunch , i chop up the leaves and trunk for the chooks to eat they luv it.

I liked the whole vid but I do not understand why anyone would cut down a banana tree just so they could eat the small center...I would much prefer a bunch of bananas...

Actually, the banana tree can be harvested not only for bananas but can be pruned to enjoy the nutritious core as well. The banana tree in this segment was not harmed by the pruning and will actually continue to thrive where it is in their gardens.
