  • they dont deserve respect they suicide them selfs

  • @rucajuda And that doesn't deserve respect? Killing yourself for something that you think is more important than yourself?

  • USA USA

  • Back when Japan had pride and identity.

  • I say, honor their (Japs) bravery but not what they did.

  • I luv this fuckin music and BANZAI!!!

  • The bombing of Pearl Harbor was the time that the Japanese invited hell to unleash hell upon itself.

  • Pearl harbour symbolises one of the very few times where america was hit very hard in the heart of their civilisation , it goes to show you can't just build a wall of doller notes and hope to protect yourself

  • The Japanese Navy was one of the best of its time. They emphasized carrier-based combat over capital ship combat (Though they weren't too bad with those either, apart from making them too big for the hell of it), they had a very skilled pilot corps, and unlike the Army, they were actually fairly honorable, at least comparatively speaking.

The Navy was just run by your average "We need moar funds for bigger gunz" idiots, though, whereas the Army was run by monsters. Shame, really.

  • The US Navy was the best of the war. we Proved in many different battles that strategy and tactics prevailed over guns i.e battle for Midway

  • BANZAI !

  • You first invaded this sacred land that you today call America, than you started invading other countries trying to input your culture, stilling thyre gold, oil , no I call you savage for evrey indian & niger you killed, for evrey bomb you drop, you diserve your faith

  • Respect japan fuck no!! japanese were savages and barbarians in ww2 who killed numerous innocent ppl with brutal methods. u gotta remember 15% of american p.o.w captured by japan were executed whereas only 2% were killed by nazi. Go google bataan death march.

  • @jamesnim87 U know why they did such things? Bushido, my friend. An enemy who surrenders his freedom instead of death and glory is not a warrior but a junk. That is why the samurai were commiting suicide. Because to surrender is to dishonor. However during WWII this idea went a lot too far.

  • @BadBoy1986PL How about killing innocent people in nanjing massacre? is that also bushido? how about comfort women and unit 731. True samurai warriors wouldn't do that. Frankly japanese were far more worse than nazi. Read history my friend. You will be trembled with disgust by what imperial army did in the name of bushido and samurai spirit.

  • @jamesnim87 You probably haven't read my last sentence. I said that this idea went a lot too far during the war. I know what they did at nanjing and i know about unit 731. And i think that about the last one, surely there was nothing in common with bushido at all.

  • @jamesnim87 You dumb ass with truck load of American propaganda. You Americans are not better than anyone else. You rapped thousands of Japanese women and conduct air-raid that kill million of innocent Japanese civilians. May you rot in hell, bastards.

  • @ngocquang19877 Achem. Right so I went and looked up what you were talking about. Okinawa is the place. according to testimonies BY AMERICANS against AMERICANS around forty women were raped a year. now seeing these numbers taking into account that Americans actually reported and accused each other of doing this, I can tell that Only a small group of soldiers committed the rapes. On the other hands The Japanese also raped their own women. They also told people that if they were caught they would

  • @lectricanman be raped, tortured and killed by the Americans. When in reality a majority were surprised to find the Americans meeting them with food shelter and clothes. Unfortunately since a lot of them were told that they would be killed they hid in caves and refused to come out even when told that they would not be hurt. Sadly this mean that the militarty had to suspect them of being soldiers laying an ambush which did happen often so they either used flame throwers or grenades to clear them

  • @jamesnim87

That is all nonsense, compared with the Polish and Soviet soldiers in captivity in Germany! and then by German POWs in Soviet captivity! the entire "meat grinder" was in Europe!

  • why the japanese soldiers had to kiled himself in okinawa, peleliu, iwo jima, etc when they feel defeated ( i mean they can still continue fighting )

  • Why should we respect the country that did not respect innocent lives?

  • Fuck the nips! Nuke them all! Go on US Marines !!!

  • Big respect to the Japanese army

    true heroes

  • Comment removed

  • @william89680 Because they believed that it is better to die in their own hands rather than die in the hands of their enemy.

  • TENNO HEIKA BANZAI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is my favorite movie, but everytime I watch this I want to kill some Japs!

  • @theHDLify

you can't the war is already over

  • @william89680 I know the war is over, but there are still Japs living.

  • @theHDLify

be a good guy. don't kill the japanese

  • @william89680 I don't have to be, because I already am. The Japanese are the ones who should be good guys.

  • even though the movie sucked balls this is still a badass opening

  • これは我々が行ったようにフィルムとAqat(ビルハーパー)の場合、私は知らない。しかし、私は日本の人々の勇気を尊重

    世界はそのような勇気のスタートを見ていないので。 私は日本を本当に好きだ。

  • Hachimaki(headband)ハチマキを頭に巻いて出征しないよ

    日本人は「不気味な異星人」「奇妙な宇宙人」として描写されている。

  • 日本の描写が不自然だし不正確だよ。

    褌とか鳥居とか日章旗とか・・・

  • Poor Hans Zimmer fell behind schedule composing the score for this movie. He got the main romantic theme nailed, but the rest (as you can tell here) is poorly recycled stereotype notes and effects.

  • The japanese and the germans were the best soldiers in ww2!

  • If it weren't for those americans and british we would be speaking japanese right now

  • @Nighter8X Would be good

  • @Nighter8X or german. americans would probally be speaking japanese and british would be speaking German.

  • J-J-J-J-J-JAAAAPS

  • fuck Asahi Newspaper what also help brought us a war. Don't buy Asahi.

  • SF?

  • Honor to the japanese pilots

  • sons of bitches doin' dumbass things

  • and the Japs made a big mistake to attack America... of course America was too strong for those sad japs...

  • @lostintuition ^_^ At least Japan was brave enough to attack a country in unfavorable odds. America only seems to attack countries less technologically advanced and weaker than them. Bullies ^_^

  • @AkinaTheKitty i totally 100 % rate agree with ya :D

  • @AkinaTheKitty Like the Russians in afghanistan and eastern Europe? and the British, in Africa, Argentina, and Afghanistan? the French in Vietnam? face it, America isn't the only one who does that. It's Militant Arrogance. all of Europe can be blamed for that at some point.

  • @Soundwave3591 Note the word "only" ^^ I can't see a country that America has faced that was stronger :)

  • @AkinaTheKitty THE British in 18th century.

  • @TheRapper10000 Alone? I think not ^^ I don't think they've ever fought a war alone xD

  • @AkinaTheKitty And the Spanish in the 19th century in the Spanish and American war.

  • @TheRapper10000 Hehe ^^ What bad books you have.

  • Whats the name of the song at 1:52:4 in the movie? Can't find it in the soundtrack.

  • My DVD player could'nt deal with all the badass in this scene and it started smoking

  • the JAPS attacked Pearl Harbor successfully. but the YANKS reversed it by pummeling them in the battle of Midway.

they were able to concentrate on destroying that BIG BASTARD up FORWARD..

  • The only good scene from this movie.

  • Loyalty to the end. There was no point of no return, there was only the sound of shells flying and the resolve of steel

  • Deep green pained Zeros really disappoint me.....

  • japanese soldiers get glorified? They might well be the most barbaric soldiers in human history.

  • @rdlulu what do you know about it besides your idiotic comment?

  • @rdlulu Japanese Soldiers need to have same respect as Americans soldiers. Those weren't barbaric moves those where moves that us Americans wouldn't dare do, but somehow they do and you mock them at the way they fought. I don't like the way they treat us back in the 40's but they need to have some honor that they risk their lives for their nation and so did we.

  • weird , the carrier bugs me , feel its too modern

  • this was somehow best part of movie....

  • This is one of the best scenes in the movie.

  • Gampaiii

  • I think that what's is said, is what we have to do, it's our guide line: make honor for family and for our country!

  • I love this scene, hate the film but this scene is great. toast em' at sunrise, a warm, welcoming, honourable race which will outshine the world.

  • fuck the japs those yellow tiny dick fucks killed thousands in pearl harbor im american and i hate japs still those pussies sucker punched america and what happend in return? we fucked them up and nuked them, america is japans godzilla so remember they were not brave they were pussies, so if your japanese remember that you killed thousands and we killed millions suck it little fucks!!

  • @3199henrypreston Japanese soldiers were very brave and sacrificed everything for their motherland. You probably don't have the half of their boldness. Americans on the countrary were the biggest pussies who used NUKES against CIVILLIAN targets! One of the most coward thing in history. . .

  • @Detspokar

Civilian targets who were aiding the enemy in their war machine you fucking tool. War is not a game of playing nice. And besides, how do you think us "pussies" got close enough to launch the bombing of Hiroshima? We beat the Japanese from Guadalcanal all the way back to their own shores. We warned them what would happen if they didn't surrender. You fucking pogue. Should have been you who died. I don't hear you complaining about how the japanese slaughtered the Chinese without fail.

  • @TheIncredibleSquish You didn't need to bomb Hiroshima or Nagasaki anyway with fucking nukes, you cowards, the japanese would surrender anyway. You did it to impresse on the world and raise respect from the Sovjet Union. Japanese soldiers were men who fought with Samurai swords and sacrifice their lifes in kamikaze attacks. You sit thousands of metres up in the air and drop nuclear. . .many children was born with birth defects because of you bitches. And I don't defend any abuse in any way!

  • @Detspokar They didnt believe in surrender they thought it was dishonorabke so they would die on the battlefield or by commiting suicide and we lost alot of men brave men so we had to drop the bombs next time you should be careful what you say and do some research fuck face.

  • @Detspokar Why are the least informed people always the most opinionated?

  • @TheIncredibleSquish I do not believe that you understand the difference between civilian population and the fascist japanese government of WW2.

  • @3199henrypreston Your comment is only full of hate and insults but there is no any good fact or argument.

    1) pearl harbor was only military target. It is ok to attack against military target in war.

    2) But USA used nuclear bomb against civilians twice.

    3) Japanese soldiers were also very brave and sacrificed everything.

    4) So you hate Japanese and every person who have born in Japan only for some 60 years old war? People can't stand an angry little jap. YOU also need to get over it!

  • @Menties1 1) there were Japanese bombs that landed in Honolulu, and surrounding areas, as well as the homes of the soldiers, which were housing civilians

    2) A) the USA was trying to prevent having to invade The Japanese homeland, which we know would've killed at least 2 million people for EACH SIDE

B)Hiroshima and Nagasaki were Both Industrial Targets, they both had major Factory Complexes, and had been relatively untouched by bombing raids

  • @3199henrypreston Every country have did war crimes and there is good and bad soldiers in every army. Of course Japanese did also war crimes. There was evil soldier also in Japanese army but there was also normal soldiers who has nothing to do whit war crimes. It was the leaders and government that were thinking of world domination so dont judge soldiers who only did there duty for there country, defended homeland and followed leaders orders. We also cant judge all USA soldiers for Vietnam war.

  • Fun Fact: DYK (Did You Know) Mitsuo Fuchida was the Leader of the Attack force on Pearl Harbor and Midway and after the war he became a *christian*. Now thats a fun fact Go Jesus!!!!

  • A toast to honour those warriors of the air. The last samurai the world saw.

  • taking off wth full flaps in a zero in that space... I dont think so

  • i have more respect for the japanese

  • Banzai! Banzai! Banzai!

  • I like the song

  • still a proud people that Americans have castrated --' sorry guys

  • I Rosette skin when Japanese pilots put on their headbands, that mixture of technological advancement and old traditions is fascinating

  • The movie itself is shit. The music is great.

  • Banzi!!!!!!!!

  • @123nypd its Banzai

  • best damn scene!

  • Ach! A green Zero! Unlike the rest of the movie, I thought they did a pretty accurate scene on this except for that wrong color. Zeroes weren't painted all green until 1943 when they were land based. Note the hachimakis have the victory kanjis the wrong way, during the war, they were from right to left. I was going to be part of the extras playing a Japanese officer when they were filming this at Corpus Christi in 2000 but changed my USAF base assignment at that time. Maybe I dudged a bullet.

  • pearl harbor was a horrible attack my grand father was in it and he lost alot of his friends japanese were ok but they were evil also.

  • what happened to the honorable Japan of the samurais and the bushido code?? now most part of their people try to imitate western culture by coulouring their hair and changing their names and with crap like the hentai, WTF is this?? only a few japanese remain loyal to their traditions, I really think that the movie of The Last Samurai has a important message for all these people...never forget from where you come from.

  • @ThePepisto Yes, that is something that really bothers me and which is the reason I strictly am not interested in any modern aspect of Japan, insteed, in feudal Japan and the Empire of Japan. Since those Americans landed on Japan and established their rules, Japan has changed greatly. And why has it? To please the Americans. This is something that really is getting me on my nerves, I feel exactly like you ThePepisto.

  • @ThePepisto Now really, if you ask me... I think the best would've been if Japan would have won the war. That's my honest opinion.

  • TO be able to send the American Navy sinking and its forces in disarray is an amazing feat for a country from South East Asia such as Japan.

  • At 1:08 you can see the helicopter with the camera in the left top corner.

  • @TheQuadratus nice observation:)

  • @TheQuadratus WELL DONE!

  • @teddybrawl WHAT????

  • hahahah mine to brother :)

  • Hey japan hows the tsunami ahhahaha

  • hans zimmer is truly the best

  • Wish Japan was still an empire with their God Emperor, they would still be cool.

  • The japs should of been more sneaky with pearl harbour. like painting there planes dead black. so the americanos dont know who hit them

  • @u7alll Yeah would of taken them years to figure out who hit them.......Dumbass

  • @ilovemesomechicken no -_- they should of modified there plane models as well, then it would be less obvious. and besides. after pearl harbour they should of sent teh troops in

  • @u7alll You cant keep a major bombing a secret, no way in hell the americans would of been like "Who bombd us?" for months

  • @ilovemesomechicken yeah but if the japanese sent enough troops to pearl harbour after the bombing they could of slaughtered quite a few suprised and shocked americanos

  • @u7alll Japan didnt want to fight america, they just wanted americas navy gone, they had no intention of invading so why would they ever invade a country they did not want to invade? We were giving shit to the allies and supporting the chinese, they just wanted us out of the way, not invaded

  • @ilovemesomechicken well it took the japs a month to know the Americans B-25 that hit Tokyo did not come from China lol

  • who can give me this song ?? pls .thx

  • BUSHI !

  • gd job Japan for helping America get on her feet

  • Gänsehaut

  • These are real soldiers. Imagine if they fought alongside America in WW2, that would have been a kickass alliance.

  • @ayuprnkcller here here

  • This is the ONLY redeeming scene of this movie. Tora Tora Tora FTW

  • @HectorFernandez1986 you prob don't even know what that means

  • @coheed121889 "Tiger, Tiger, Tiger" the codeword used by the japanese to signal the complete surprise of the attack. But my comment was in reference to the *film* Tora Tora Tora, a movie in MANY ways superior to Pearl Harbor ;)

  • These people were someone's brothers, fathers and sons. They did what they had to do. Place blame on the leaders not on the soldiers.

  • i love this clip real soldiers!!!

  • what's the name of this song?

  • The attack on Pearl Harbor was a scratch on the U.S nd you dnt mess wit us...How do you think all those Japs felt when they had atomic bombs up der ass...you "scratch" us we murder you...

  • @StevieSteve2094

Stop being a butthurt little faggot and admit the US dropped the ball on this one.

Oh wait you're 17 nvm people your age are naturally idiots.

  • sneaky, just like the US did on Iraq...

  • Today is the day of the attack to....how ironic

  • Banzaiiii!!!

  • dramatic part at 0:34

  • Zero's weren't painted green until 1943 and the Val dive bomber, the wings were much wider close to the plane's body and aboard Akagi, at 0:56 there are 6 aircraft in a row, this would be literly impossible cuz carriers then were 2 narrow

  • @joestrummerfanxx1 That carrier is actually American... If you manage to recognise it.. this carrier was recycled for Doolittle raid at the last part of the film... LOL

  • @SSUstufRudel and funny is (i saw it 1 sec. ago..the front of the carrier is at the end the beck of the ship...and wath the catapults xD oh man...and this is my fav movie :D

  • @turk1991turkboi it gives the goosebumps 2

  • They should rebuild their fleet again and kick evil american butts off from Okinawa. We russians would have supported it haha

  • @MesserHai U "russians" would have enslaved the entire world into communism

  • the Mitsubishi A6M2 Type 11/21 Zero characteristics are listed here: Crew:1 Length:9.06(29 ft 9 in) Wingspan:12.0(39 ft 4 in) Height:3.05 m(10 ft 0 in) Performance: Never exceed speed:660 km(410 mph) Maximum speed:533 km(331 mph) Range:1,929 mi Service ceiling:33,000 ft Rate of climb:3,100 ft/min Armament:2x 7.7 Type 97 machine gun in engine cowling(500 rounds per gun) 2x 20 mm Type 99 cannons in the wings(60 rounds per gun) Bombs:2x 132lb bombs or 1x 551lb bombs for Kamikaze
  • Just badass.

  • loool 1:26 iwhat the hell? Isn't that a modern aircraft carrier :/ and its backward

  • How come that the 1970 movie, Tora Tora Tora, had historically-accurate and realistic-looking Japanese aircraft carriers, but this "modern" CGI-filled movie simply used old American Midway-class carriers?

  • @obitsu1 The carrier used for the aircraft launching scenes in "Tora!..." was the Yorktown (CVS-10), built in 1943 and later rebuilt with an angled flightdeck. The scenes were Japanese actors are on the deck were shot on a big movie-set, about half of a carrierdeck with an "island"-structure was built on a beach in Japan. Some distant scenes used models.

In "Pearl Harbor" they used a "Museum carrier" (have forgotten its name) laying in a harbour for the deck-scenes.

  • @obitsu1 because Micheal Bay gives 2 shits about accuracy, he just wanted AWESOME explosions.

  • At 0:55 there's 7 planes side by side on the Japanese carrierdeck. That was impossible in real life, the carrierdecks were to narrow. At 1:19 a Val takes off at the bow (normal), but at 1:25 the aircraft are taking off at the stern (the carrier sailing backwards...)! The Zeros should be light grey (as in Tora!...), not green. Green was the color of the Japanese Army Airforce, not the Navy. Just a few of the totally wrong things in this movie.

  • @YDDES

U r right about it. On the color matter it was done by the movie production in order to make some aircraft stand out from the others. If not, they 'd all looked the same. While all aircraft involved in the actual attack were painted light warm grey, most of all torpedo planes and some dive bombers were given a hasty coat of lines, blotches, even a solid coat in some cases, of dark green, sometimes mixed with segments of red brown. Zeros stayed in the all grey scheme well into 1942.

  • @YDDES Yes, the only Japanese carrier that big was the Shinano but it was comissioned and sunk in 1944. Actually Zeroes were painted all green, but only after 1943 when they were land based. Many Army fighters had light gray color (Nates) and natural metal color (Oscars) and most before 1943 had no hinomarus on the fuselage. Lindberg Zero plastic model I bought during the 1960s had no hinomarus on fuselage and an Army insignia on the tail. Monogram was almost the same.

  • one day it will rise again

  • Such an honourable and strong culture...Today reduced to nothing more than western imitators.

  • @livetoendure

Yeah because a culture that rapes over 200,000 Chinese women is so honourable.

  • name of song

  • @baseballstar6784

    Dai Nippon Teikoku

You can see it in te right --->

  • I wish to fly an Ohka..but oh to be a pilot then :)

  • The Japanese pilots of fighter jets used parachute "?

  • what is name of song¿?

  • whats the song name?

  • ...Such a shame honourable japanese come few and far between now, and most are cheap imitators of an empty American culture.

  • @livetoendure What are you talkin about we got all kinds of good stuff....Its better for the japanese because if it wasn't for the war they would probably be in little villages....look how booming japan is.

  • the sound of the planes makes it even more epic (=

  • This movie was awful except, ironically for this one scene. The same goes true in my opinion with Tora Tora Tora. In both films, the Japanese portions were much more better filmed.

  • what did so many US. ships do in that harbor if there was no war at all? obvious that they were preparing for an attack against japan, who only prevented the first hit by attacking pearl harbor...
