  • Even though you use 4300k bulbs in a projector, they'll still appear purple/bluish from far away. Whether it's a low beam projector or a bi-xenon projector on the low beam setting, there will be some light bending at the cut-off shield, which is why a lot of cars with projectors appear to have blue headlights from far away. This rainbow effect doesn't affect light output but looks way fuckin' sexier than any gay blue bulbs out there.

  • You're being blinded because these HID bulbs are being installed in a reflector housing that's designed for halogens. When the focal point is off, this creates glare. It's that glare that's blinding you. Also, blue light does scatter a lot more. Even the blue LED light on my computer monitor is blurry. With HIDs, you want to go with 4300k. Not 12,000k. Also, they need to be in a projector housing that's designed to handle the extra light.

  • has yours started changing colors yet?

  • @ladypulla662 nah not yet... exactly like it was before

  • Hey what's up dude I was wondering if you could give some advice.. I'm buying a 5k hid kit but I'm not sure what bulb I should or need to get. Car is a 02 sentra with halo projector lights. THANKS!!!

  • @BLAssT0 it depends, the halos didn't come with 02 sentra so depeding on what socket you have on the after market housings you got, you might need a different bulb...

  • These blue lights should be illegal on the streets. Anytime im driving at night time and i come accros someone with blue lights i cant see anything cause i am blinded.

  • Just ordered 12000k for my low beams

  • @AlexR4513 nice

  • that website sends me straight 2 google so i guess it doesn't work. any where else because i have da same car and want some also.

  • when i buy HID Xenon Bulb H4 6000K pair do i need to buy something else or am i ready to install it as is

  • @dontbesoft If it came with a Ballast, you are ready to go... If they are just bulbs with wires, you need to buy a Ballast. If your Bulbs are 35W, you need a 35W Ballast, if your Bulbs are 55W, you need a 55W Ballast.

  • when you upgrade to hid's you also need to install some glare shields or the light patern will scater all over making your lights illegal on the road.

  • @matrixloader That is true, Fix it's are not fun when u dont have a hook up to sign em for u... Care to share some links for other viewers so they know where they can get some glare shields? I will probably invest in 1

  • i ordered sum 12k lightz n wen i installed em i thought theyd b blue like yourz but there deff. not

  • they could be 6000K marked with a 12000K stcker, happened to me once...

  • hey bro it looks good i tryed to click on thelink for pricing but the link didnt work whats the site one more time?

  • group buy ended :\

  • Do you idiots like not being able to see where you're going at night? 4300K-5000K give the best light output. Anything over 6000K is too blue, and does not throw usable light. In other words, your 12000K are incredibly weak!

  • Thanks for your opinion. I Don't Care.

  • lol 0.25 was that an orgasim?

  • ahhaha yes i jizzed in my pants cuz it looked so good..

  • yea real HID's 10k blue..12k deep blue...15k purple.....10 and 12k looks similar one of a little darker then the others..i have 10k mine look just like that

  • the higher the number on the Kelvin scale, the lower amount of light you get. That's because blue light doesn't work well at night. The best color for HIDs is 4300K-5000K. They shine WAY more usable light (lumens) on the road.

Anything over 6000K is for idiots.

  • actually the higher kelvin scale means the color of the light changes not the brightness..i do aggree anything over 6k is a waste but you can still see a night but not as well...i went down to 5k a long time ago no longer have 10k

  • You are right! 12000K lights are th same brightness and it is almost impossible to see the road with them.. That's why I wired mine to 12k on the outer housing and 6K for the main housing. It looks weird when both are on so I only have one on at a time depending on which one I need

  • Thanks again for your opinion, please stop spamming.

  • i need a pair of plug and plays for my honda civic 96 and im not trying to pay to much just need a reliable place to get them where i wont be scammed for my money last place i saw was for 99 bucks plug and play low beam 6k but the sight im not relying on anymore please help thanks

  • I have 8000k and I see great.

  • what a fag.. you're going to fucking kill people on the road from your stupid glare. If you're gonna do HID get projectors and do it the right way dumbass ricer.

  • people who say this are exaggerating. i see cars with hid's in stock housings all the time..... i almost never get blinded.

its not that bad, stop being so dramatic.

  • looks like 10000k.

  • it does. weird huh

  • is the 12k illegal???

  • yes, all HID on a non projector housing is illegal. Nothing $10 and a signature can't fix.

  • ive got 12000k but mine r purple?

  • purple is the correct color. I'm not sure why mine turns on blue and turns qhite after a while.

  • It might be because you are not getting the full power to your bulbs...less power equals less energy to heat the gass to the correct degree kelvin, maybe check the power going to your bulbs with a DC volt meter to make sure its putting out 35W. Hope that maybe helped.

  • it takes a few seconds to reach full intensity right?

  • yeah like 3 to 4

  • good

  • oh yea!!

  • Ouch.
