Neither Communism nor Marxism were thought trough. They might be good in theory but they will never work in reality because they clash with the very nature of most living beings. It is well known that more people perished during the RAF's bombing of Dresden, Germany, using convential explosives than died in either Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Japan was already on its knees, US submarines had destroyed its merchant fleet and was starving Japan out. What made Japan want to fight to the end (as the Germans did) was the Allies demanded unconditional surrender. Japan was done and everybody in Japan was well aware of that fact.

It's true that communism can be a paradise, but that's the same with a lot of things. History showed unfortunately that communism usually means the same as a police state and that's really bad.
I also want to say to the USA: GET YOUR ASS OUT OF AFGHANISTAN! THEIR PROBLEMS ARE THEIR PROBLEMS, NOT YOURS! Why does America always want to 'help' other nations. Just leave them. Look at your own country first and spend all the money you spend on the army on the poor people in your own country!!

Though one can never be sure with Russia, they could hide quite a lot in Siberia, and they hardly ever tell the whole truth on anything, unlike the naive and foolishly optimistic Americans.

Maybe some of them did, but there were a lot of people in the military who were totally prepared to continue the fight, and it wasn't like the general populace was able to completely ignore several decades of Government-issue anti-west propaganda. Read about Iwo Jima sometime. Furthermore, horseshit on chaotic. Firebombing's chaotic, firefights are chaotic. Urban warfare's chaotic. Months of these are horrendously more chaotic than a single bomb leveling a city in moments.

They co-dominated world trade and held complete political power over much of Africa and of course India.
Prior to the American Revolution they were also the dominant power colonial power in the new world.

I'm not going to get into 'Was it right?' debate because it's not that cut and dry but trying to play up the effects of the bombs like you're doing is deceptive. Residual radiation in both cities was never a problem and today is at average levels you would expect to find anywhere - I.e not enough to damage human health. The only way to completely irradiate a site is to groundburst a weapon, a strategy that was considered in the Cold War but not used on Japan.

It is well known that more people perished during the RAF's bombing of Dresden, Germany, using convential explosives than died in either Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Japan was already on its knees, US submarines had destroyed its merchant fleet and was starving Japan out. What made Japan want to fight to the end (as the Germans did) was the Allies demanded unconditional surrender. Japan was done and everybody in Japan was well aware of that fact.

Americans were also starving at one point and were being killed at the discovery of their Garand's weakness, the sound of the dropping shell. I would say the Atomic Bomb wasa cowardly move on America's side and very low, but I'd say they weren't exactly winning.

Diplomacy is not one of the main tools America decides on using. However when it comes to the Taliban, the Germans/Japanese during WW2, or the oppressive British back during the revolutionary war, I feel that THOSE were evils that needed an ass whooping haha. But things are cool with the Brits, Germans, and Japanese now =) lol
