We were at buckroe then and after Isabel It looked like a moonscape.

i remember this western pa had 50-70 mph wind gust from this storm it was fun

I was 6 when this hit and I remember it so well. I remember my mom telling me it was a tropical storm but I didn't know how bad it actually was until recently i thought it was just like a little thunderstorm. i lost power for a week and it was raining so hard. I didnt even know that the dc area could get hit by hurricanes!

Am in the Fox Hill area of Hampton, VA. Been here all my life. Rode this one out while in 11th grade. Strongest hurricane I've seen here in my 24 years here. Keeping an eye on Earl right now though.

Man, storms make me hungry! When Isabel got to Virginia, I ate three peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the span of an hour!

I was in 2nd grade when this happened. I am in Richmond VA, and it was not even 4 weeks since school started, It was exciting, when my siblings and I were being tucked into our sleeping bags(we didn't sleep upstairs, just to be safe, and I heard a thump. A tree landed on our house, I have no idea what it was, but something in the attic caused a branch to get stuck and hadn't that happened, it would of crashed through my bedroom and through the garage. We were out of school for 2 weeks!!

i was in 4th grade. i live in western nc and when isabel hit the coast, we still got some effects of the hurricane

I was in 2nd grade when isable hit. iwas in md, but we had around 1 and a half foot of rain fall. and A tree fell on my neighbors house, so they had to live with us for 6 months!!

I was attending my 2nd year in high school i didnt get back to school until 9/29 as a result of that I had to Suspended my first Project Report.
