  • Absolutely excellent.

  • typical irish dancers comments, when they can't criticize dancers technique it all becomes bitchy, nit picking at stupid petty things; plural's of words, and names of shoes WTF? Actually if you bother to look into it you'll find different names the world over for what you're arguing about here, e.g. feis, feisanna, festival, competition, hard shoes, heavy shoes, tap shoes, tappers, treble shoes etc. does it really affect the world so dramatically calling it something different to someone else?

  • very well done! a cappella numbers are always tough. you guys stayed in synch very nicely!

  • Jeans :O, LOL. really good dancing >> footwork is really good, just try and concatrate on the arms ;)

  • THAT IS NOT FAIR! Y CANT WE DANCE IN JEANS! haha

  • ses super moi qui suit pas un pro mais qui adore je trouve super chouette sa merite de les encouragee

  • wtf little girls can do hat and i cant

i broke my foot doing that!!!

  • the1andonlyamy I agree with you 100% my dance school does not have wigs and we don't curl our hair..........Hermionefan3 Tell me about it! I hate it! Absolutely hate it when they call it irish tap dancing or Riverdance!!!! Urgggggg

  • reminds me of the part of Riverdance where the male dancers come out and the only noise is from their hardshoes. one of my favorite parts! i wish i had continued with my irish step dancing classes...

  • i love that they got to danc in jeans! being an irish dancer my self it is always nice when you don't have to dnac ein complete costume. because they are really hot, the dancers did a very nice job!

  • only one boy :D

  • no,there 2!!

  • How cool was that?!

  • wow these look like youngsters like early teens and younger, quite talented for being so young. All the taps shoes always sound really cool, like as marchjing drummer, and when it is in sync, it sounds so dead on cool. Nice job kids.

  • I'm an Irish dancer, and they're wearing hardshoes, not tapshoes. (Sorry, but it's a pet peeve of mine to get annoyed when people call it "Irish tap dancing", since we dance in softshoes too, or when they confuse us with tapdancers, or when they call hardshoes tapshoes.)

  • @hermionefan3 I think its a pet peeve of all irish dancers. The when you try to explain it to them their all "BUT ur wearing tap shoes and they sound the same" uhh no......it makes me so mad cuz my friend does tap and so sometimes we dance together and there is such a difference!

  • buenisimo 5/5

  • lol, yeah! I had a teacher (My first one) who was a guy and he liked the natural look better, too. My current teacher is 80 yrs old from Ireland and would not let us do a parade in the middle of summer without wigs!lol

  • what school?

  • 1) I hate wearing the wigs too 2) However, they are traditional: When irish dance turned into a competition, they would be held on sundays, and good girls who went to church on sunday morning curled their hair fashionably. Someof them went and danced, and the audience would know that these girls were good girls because their hair was curled and that meant they had been to church. Also, "It Takes the Cake" stems from old Irish dance, as well; a cake or some other baked good was often the prize :)

  • I think it would be more traditional to not have wigs and not have to curl your hair either

  • what school is this ?

  • @maplewoodbaby BFOC

  • Your right. The wigs are a money maker and so are the costumes. When our kids dance at First Night in Boston with another multi-faceted dancing school they all wear jeans, black t-shirts and the Irish dancing school all wear their wigs.

Some day the video will be up.

  • Not bad! That was pretty good! :)

  • ive been doing irish dancing for 10years and I cant even do that

  • All you need is a cup of Folgers in the morning........LOL

  • whats folgers

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

  • Then you must not be that good. LOL

  • well i take it your like a champion or something if not you can't say anything OK

  • amazing!

i've always wanted to learn this dancd. but now that i have the time . , my knees are bad. oh well.

  • wow. just found this video... friend was talking about it in class and decided to look it up. nice to have a look back into the past to see how we all started out =)

  • cool the teacher is realy creative and copys the riverdance finale

But great kids big respect but the teacher

    jesus

  • Hate the wigs!!!! HATE them! OMG! Make them go away! Fake, disgusting, distracting and so on.

  • i know one of the ppl dancing!

  • who????????

  • my friend katie...she forwarded the vid 2 me...she is in there somewhere.lol

  • OH REALLY LOL I GUESS :D

  • It would be better without those silly sheep wigs bouncing around. It makes it hard to appreciate the beautiful dancing!!

  • There's nothing taditional about a wig! They've only been on the scene for a decade or so. As the song goes "hair in ringlets is a must", but we used to do it with rags or rollers! It looked much more natural. That said... great clip. Love the jeans!

  • ah... that must've been the reason... i actually do believe that's true. stupid americans (yes, i may be one, but in my heart i am 100% European... and half is Irish) ...

  • There is not a single thing traditional about that feckin' wig. Any girls natural hair is traditional. I'm irish, and I do irish dancing, so thats how I know. The americans brought in those awful, rat-nest , road kill wigs.

  • the wigs are so not part of the tradition! curly hair is but definately not wigs! i am a dancer and hate wearing mine. sum of them look well fake nd stupid on small children!!

  • i wasn't talking about the wigs.

  • Yeah, you see there gigantic nests on small children...It's a wonder the weight of it dosent stop them from dancing...

  • They aren't actually that heavy unless you have a double wig; there are many light ones that look just the same.

  • I'm not talking about how heavy they are, I'm talking about what they look like.

    Savannah :)

  • I like wearing my wig, I feel naked without one now. I have three different wigs and I love all of them. I don't care if people think they look weird I think wigs are AWESOME. :) And they save like two and a half hours in the morning as well. ;)

  • finally someone who agrees with me!

  • i so agree with you guys! i love my wigs! im actually going bigger. i don't care what people say. i would never dance without my wig. :D

  • Michael Flatley would be proud.

  • me no irish ...me like evrything irish...

  • i liked this it was really cool!!!

  • they did a great job

  • The dance is beautiful, but the video is

dissappoiningly poor! Please, send a better sample! Thank you!

  • how can i learn how do step dance? seems like a fun and better way than how dancing goes in prom.

  • start researching about dance schools in your area, i dont know where you live so i cant give you a list of schools but my advice is to search it on the net :) hope that helped

  • this is just a recital, mostly for the parents to see what we're up to...we all compete in feises this is just for fun, k?

  • geeze its not like us "americans" have recitals(shows) all the time, we compete just as much as you guys in ireland do maybe even more seeing as how my school has gone to ireland to compete(i.e. worlds, all irelands) and brought home a lot of first place's, maybe you should come here and compete at one of our feis's or maybe Worlds Philadelphia, America 2009.....see ya there

  • why should we

  • The plural of "Feis" is not "feish's", it's "Feisanna".

  • I'm so glad to see that someone else knows that too!

  • So, uh...how about this video??? It's fantastic!

(When did this turn into a "Who's better, Ireland or America" competition??? For the love of dance, stop arguing!)

  • @reelyjiggin I get annoyed with that so much too! and i go on a rampage! im all "its not taps! its fiber glasss!!!"

  • @reelyjiggin Most people say feises. Our school does. Feisanna is more formal and old fashioned.

  • kid on the left was like ontop of his neighbor...

  • The boy on the left made the most mistakes. It was very distracting, but at the same time he looks like he could be the youngest in that group.

  • That's some pretty loud tapping from such youngsters! Gonna be great when they grow up!!

  • were not all that young...some of us were 17 and 16 when this was performed

  • Good job. Thank you.

  • I saw the two perfectly.

  • Cool. Kinda hard 2 c tho.

  • Lol, Only one guy, Lot of courage.

  • this is like the riverdance finale!

  • very good where are ye from???

  • I think they are from the Cashel Dennehy school of Irish Dance in Milwaukee and Madison Wi....

  • No, they are from San Diego

  • they r all very good

  • brill!!

  • Awesome! You guys did very well! My cousin thinks you all kind of sound like a typewriter... lol But I know Irish music and I can actually imagine the lilty melodies in my head while you guys are dancing - simply fantastic!

  • the lad in the front in da midl-left is making a mess of almost all of it!! he doesnt know what he's doing!! thats a let down for the rest of dem dat are doing it rite!!

  • respect, respect, guys! absolutely terrific...

  • It's good, sure, But i can do better then that

  • u are a stuck up cow

  • very well done!!! i loved it! lol it looks like a few girls got a bit confused towards the end but the sound was amazin!

  • Love it!

  • great job ! our accapella number isn't nearly as cool as this!

  • I'm no ID expert, but to my untrained eyes your unison was fabulous. Watch out, Riverdance!

  • neither, Butler-Fearon O'connor. hahaha but what a compliment! Trinity...wow!

  • ... I wish our little "No Music" (or so we call it) dance would look and sound that good...

  • 3rd from the right, back row
