@Jayman2009Worm in night, it's impossible to spot the markings, and even in daylight, you only see it when your close. Too close, and often too late :(
dang.. these police have pretty nice cars O.O ... btw there are low ranked officers with unmarked cars in the U.S. .. I've seen an officer with an unmarked hummer once..
I live in Peel.2005 Dodge Cirrus green(old), 2007 Jeep Rubicon black ,2008 Honda Accord coupe black, 2003 Rav4 silver. These are also vehicles used by Peel Police. I drive around Peel 8hrs a day for my job. Peel Police have 30+ unmarked. non marked. plain as day cars they cruise around in. one even has a "make pot legal" sticker on the rear bumper.A tip for the police. hide your phones, radios, Kevlar and clipboards. I sit up high and see all your stuff and know you're cops...lol
if they call that unmarked.. the need to look up the deffinition of unmarked..... maybe the lights r undercover but i can clearly tell those cars a police cars... its to easy...
I only seen black crown victoria cop cars and a ford police van during X-mas season pulling over someone not really nice trucks or notting i live in rexdale ont Also fuck the police =)
Hey thanks, we only recently started to run blue lights on police cars and what a big difference. Much easier to see day+night and definitely safer for the cop.
@highspeedvehicle i agree, running blue and red is very easy to see. In canada can police officers purchase a POV or their own personal car with lights and sirens? Im from the united states and the only really allow the police cheifs to do so.
I don`t believe that our officers can do this but high ranking Police officers ie, Chief are issued unmarked police units. (kind of like a company car) Ive never heard of or seen any police officers with lights or sirens on their vehicles.
@highspeedvehicle Actually yes they can have it in their personals. Same reason why volunteer fire fighters can have the flashing green light in their dashes in Canada
@bauerpower93 It veries by what part of canada you live. Like BC ,alberta, saskatchewan, quebec, maritimes, and manitoba have run Red and Blue for 20+ years. Cause there mostly use RCMP as the local police. But ontario starting in about 07-08 went to red and blue for all there units, OPP and local. Why i dont know
i just fucking got pulled over for speedin today in the morning. mississauga rd and qew. cant fuckin guess people... THEY USED A BUSTED UP BLACK CONSTRUCTION VAN!!!! with all the decor.. ladders n all the shit... I dont know if thats legal for them to do so..
Funny part in this video, that blue Taho in the south simcoe police division has pulled me over many times. Never thought that he would make it to the internet.
Too bad you didn't have more pics. In Oakville they drive unmarked Volvo's. Also in Peel Region where I'm from, they drive fully UNMARKED, even the LED lights are hidden, untill they light up Blacked out tinted Tahoe's. Peel also has unmarked Windstars. I even saw them in a Ford Taurus too once.
just in my county alone.....and were a small county.....we have a jeep ......like 5 impalas......maybe 5 chargers..... a ford f450.....4 4wheelers.....a mule(atv)....a riced out corolla and a "ghetto'd" out honda crv on 26"s...thats just the undercover cars for the constables.....where i work at....no body else really has any undercover vehicles....just crown vics.........and all our vehicles are brand new...like 2008....and they are all vehicles that were ceased by local dealers......
the lettering is ghosted in ( painted in an off tone to the body colour ) this way the car dose not stand out like it would if it was black and white with its colours and lettering on it
in some places the car has to BE marked so this allows it to pass
they are the same shade as the car so people cant really see them, people say undercover cars are a form of entrapment, so they put the words on the car to say its marked and legal, just a way to cover their ass, they may be marked, but its still going to be hard as hell to see while driving
I think the correct terminology should have been "Ghost Car" An unmarked car is a police vehicle with no outside indications, i.e, POLICE in fade. Only the interior is marked.
Most of this shit is state troopers what the fuck has this got to do with opps they dont ven have most of this shit lol and we pretty much can figure out what a cop car looks like the tires and there all black or crown vic impala taurus now crappy chrysler were not that stupid they usualy hide there cars now the stupid cocksuckers i seen them stand behind poles buildings etc wow tough cap gettin fat on radar juice
The famous windsor undercover truck. Ive seen that truck bust so many people on Banwell and the Expressway, most of the people busted are not from Windsor, people just never expect a truck.
The black gives it away. Everytime I see a black Vic, Impala, Intrepid, etc, I figure its an undercover. Ive seen some gold and green cars that look NOTHING like a copper.
ive seen way nicer unmarked units than most of these...especially the blacked out crown vics the OPP have. I personally am shocked at how many stupid moves drivers make in front of my marked police unit let alone an unmarked car. I get street racers all the time and they dont know where I came from.
We were dispatched to a man who sustained lacerations to the inside of his mouth while he was being arrested and detained by the Las Vegas Metro drug unit, and to my surprise they were rolling an white unmarked Nissan Titan. It was just the greatest shock of my life, lol.
in my county we hav about 8 chargers, 2 intrepids, 2 unmarked impalas, 1 unmarked crown vic, 2 marked explorers, 1 unmarked explorer, and one unmarked town and country mini van haha!!
When they go undercover, does that mean they still have to write Police somehow on it? why these cars have Police written on it, is this just for demonstration?
well more than that its because in some states they require that the car leading a pursuit must be marked and when they mean is lettered on the sides and that would qualify. so technically in the states eyes thats marked. also even in states that don't require it, all it takes is a good to lawyer to save the suspects ass.
thats just from when they took the reflective tape off the car. the paint on the outside fades, but its still the same clean paint underneath the tape. thats what gives that look to the car.
i hate unmarked police car piss me off i was hwy racing and all of a sudent a unmarked police car was next to me i was scared to death but my buddy got away lucky ass and i got a 550 ticket
i have seen so many cars and the coolest thing on my way to florida for vacation a saw a lambourghini undercover cop i thaught it was the coolest thing ever
They have lights and sirens, like stated before the reflective decals are for public safety and to prevent people from imitating police officers. It started from the Long Beach Police Department in NY and spread like wildfire. It's extremely good and because of it the crime of people/felons imitating police officers has been reduced drastically.
it has to do with legalities, i know in some places like NY an unmarked police car cannot pull you over, so if you put ghost logos on you still have a mostly concealed police car that can still technically pull you over
No it's not. In Long Beach, NY the undercover dodge chargers the police department has have the reflectors. It's to do with keeping people from thinking they're being pulled over by a fake cop.
wrong.. they dont need antennas they can use regular redios even nextel... they dont even need to have many lights they can just used thaty one light u see in old movies...
Hold up dummy.....Policing encompasses a clear and marked presence to deterr inappropriate driving actions as well as a stealth approach to catch those engaged in stupid or unsafe driving practices. You cant just police the roads one way or the other. And you call other people simple minded? Check yourself! Police keep highways safe through both visibility and enforcement. Understand this point and your IQ will bump you up into the "mildy retarded" category.
hey does anyone know the policy with police interviews? im trying to launch a law enforcement/military magazine and i want to interview the ETF and get great pictures... is that allowed?
Ive once seen a black Ford Fusion suv (no markings just red and blue strobes)pull over a black guy on the 401 in Scarbourogh. I dont think it was OPP i wonder what it was. Anybody have a clue?
I don't know what the point of unmarked police cars are. If you see an all black Crown Vic with black out rims... uhh of course it's a cop. Who besides cops and 90yr olds drive Crown Vics? lol. And guess what 90yr olds buy them in that nasty champagne color.
I live in the hamilton region and these guys are cheeky fellows. The black chargrs look sweet, but have really dark markings, looks unmarked but "technically" is marked. Must be nice to roll around one of those while on the job lol and it's even harder to catch the UC's they do a good job at being unseen.
i live in toronto and i really love canada, canadian rules and canadian police. i am not lying. i dont say all this my heart says all this....i really love canadian police and army.
Perhaps Toronto police are different, but here in Windsor Ontario a large majority of our police force is crooked. I've heard many stories of police brutality in my area... perhaps it has something to do with such a large police force with little crime... I guess they have nothing better to do but beat up young kids with spray cans. I'm not saying all of them are in the wrong, but more and more I see Windsor turning into a police state.
And the cop caar wheels gives a few of them away or the search light....but some of the white cars...the decal on the side is clear and only reflects at the right angle..kind of sneaky..Love the SS Silverado though...
heh, I've actually seen that black Silverado SS in windsoe pulling someone over. They've also got an unmarked F-150, Maraurder, and a couple others...
there is so many unmarked police cars becuase the officers uese there prvit car and just equipt portable ligts and sirin,,, good for police not for us...
yeah, more police and cameras....i fell so safe that i'm being watched at all times!!! god forbid i act hyper while i drive or have a bumper sticker that is anti-govt.
Well stop pushing... that would be too dangerous. What if the car/truck was stolen? If it was in a chase against the cops, the cops would be screwed. Let me guess, you want to put overshields on police cars?
Here's a concept I've been trying to push for a while... equip all CVPIs and/or SWAT vehicles with 360* Electro Optical E/OIR sensor turrets. Costs of such systems have actually come down despite advancements in E/O-FLIR technology, this has got to be the next logical step for a cutting edge 21st century law enforcement agency!
