Well, If the Bible is the word of God, an all knowing being, wouldn't it have been more helpful to mankind to simply teach the concepts of sanitation and cleaning before eating to reduce the risk of infection and disease? 1) This is a short study on the topic, but what is meant by "unpopulated" is in comparison to the populated areas of the world. So comparing the US to Europe at the time, in comparison the US would be considered fairly unpopulated.

2) Who said the US was forned in 1798. We said a nation fitting the description would spring up in or AROUND 1798. The US is the only nation that fits the bill.

But certainly younger than millions/billions. 2nd, a building complex that dates to 3600 bc fits fine in our model. 3600 bc + 2009 ad = 5609 years give or take 1 for 1ad/bc. You have a LOT to be thankful for from the Christian world as well in the realm of health/science/nutrition/etc. But you choose to focus on the bad not seeing it is inconsistent with true biblical principles.

Actually there is quite a bit of evidence to consider for a young earth. Most of it gets rejected though NOT because it is bad science, but because of what it may imply. The evidences to consider are laid out in science text books but must be critically thought through. It typically isn't taught that way because it is commonly accepted that evolution is responsible all on it's own for life's origins and any young earth evidence contradicts the massive timespan evo requires.

The way the Lazarus story is recorded in the Gospels is meant to be taken literally as is Christ Himself rising from the dead. No indication of a parable or allegorical statement there.

Why did god change his mind?

According to the text we believe, God in his infinite wisdom had already allowed mankind to live LONG lives pre-flood. Post-flood has a lot of lessons to teach as recorded in the lives of the Israelites.. meat was allowed to be eaten because God flooded the earth and vegetation was minimal/gone. This also I believe purposefully dramatically shortened sinful man's lifespan as well since pre-flood it was shown mankind could not be trusted with long lifespans...let alone eternal life, just yet.

God allowed mankind to eat meat after the flood, but note also that man's lifespan began to drop significantly after that. Even during the time of the Exodus, God tried to reform the Israelites diet by raining mana from heaven, but the people what they're own way so God sent them all the birds they could eat. Vegetarianism is not a commandment in the Bible , but we are to give God our best and nutrition science confirms that it is the best diet for man. Read "The China Study" also sometime.

Since you asked... History doesn't divide itself on a man they way it has Jesus Christ. The teachings/principles of the Bible are some of the best I've ever read after spending more than 15 years of reading everything else but the Bible. It is only now that I can appreciate many of its' simplistic yet broad applying and spiritual yet practical truths. A thorough studying of prophecy (from an Adventist perspective) confirmed by history/archaeology was the final nail in the coffin for me.

I'll give you a little foreknowledge of what I believe, it is from an Adventist perspective and not the mythological lore that the rest of the Christian world makes it out to be. Adventists may deny the hell story but their reasoning is off. One adventist told me its hard for her to believe in a god that tortures people everyday. When i asked her about the verses, she was unable to expalin them. They were probably added in, but in either case it still doesnt make god look very good.

Adventist do not deny hell. We believe the Bible descibes it as an event reserved for the day of judgment and it is not a place burning today. Sodom & Gmorrah are given as an example of eternal hell fire as the New Testament book of Jude tells us. And if you need more evidence, look at my video on here about the destruction of the wicked.

the fact that you mention satan just goes against the whole premise of god. God is suppose to be omnipotent so couldn't he just flick satan out of existence if hes such a problem

Your dealing with an age old question.. If God is so good, why is there evil in the universe? If there is a God why would He allow Satan to exist. The bible gives the explanation and it is reasonable. Had God "flicked" satan out of existence in heaven, then the heavenly angels would serve God out of fear and not love. Satan has been allowed to exist to show the whole universe what seperation from God is like and earth is the stage of this battle between Christ and Satan.

Not everything good that happens by men's perspectives is of God friend. Likewise not everything bad that happens by our perspective is God working mysteriously. Everything in life is orchestrated in a way that will become clear on judgment day, but God rains down judgment on the nations also but it is a righteous judgment. Satan just destroys, deceives, etc, etc. God is truthful about this point in His word. He is a loving kind God, but also a righteous and just God.

And since the U.S. is a mostly Christian country, of course they're going to enforce religious beliefs, that's just what Christians do.

It doesn't say that exactly. Study Prophecy. The symbols reveal what they represent according to other passages. For ex: beasts in prophetic messages represent nations/kingdoms. The lamb, represents Jesus Christ. The dragin represents satan or a power under his control. The Bible gives many timelines &MANY characterictics to identify the powers in question, so that there is no doubt who or what is being referenced. Prophecy often was given in symbols because the church was being persecuted.

No it's not. Neither is the trinity, yet the concepts are clearly taught. Prophecy is written in symbolic language with descriptions attributes and time frames that pin point who is being referenced using the historicist method of interpretation. USA is in bible prophecy.
