Any genetic change in an organism is evolution. Improved conditions&healthcare mean healthier genes are passed on to the next generation. The same with differing skin tones and racial variations. They are passed on to the next generation. External factors such as environment play a part in an organisms character (Phenotype) but inherited genetics play a huge part.

Evolutionary biology didnt end with Darwin, it only began there. It exists in many, many forms.

Of course I could have used a clearer and more succinct example which fulfills the criteria in a less broad and more specific way, however I was trying to use an every day concept instead of using examples from molecular biology etc
