It's worth noting that LAG's entire Seasons range is being discontinued. In future, variants of the Tramontane range will be the basis of LAG's collection of acoustic guitars.
Does your guitar have a star on the headstock? I ran into an 88 year old lady in California and she gave me her parlor from the early 1920's? All I could find on it was maybe a VEGA.
I have a large jumbo (Faith FJCE) but am thinking of looking for a good parlour guitar ... The LAG has caught my attention. There's another very good demo of it on the BAROQUE AND ROLL website which is a shop in Cinderford (UK) which is where I got the Faith and where I hope to try the LAG later this year. It sounds excellent on that demo but very different to this movie --- both are great sounds. Looks like a good buy.
Have now bought the LAG parlour guitar after a visit to the Baroque and Roll shop, as well as a superb LAG 4S300N which is a fine and unusual nylon strung acoustic. Both are REALLY excellent instruments. I highly recommend both - as well as the B&R shop. It may only be small and tucked away in a little village in Gloucestershire - but it is packed to the rafters with fantastic acoustic and classical guitars.
An Art & Lutherie compared to a Blueridge parlor is like night and day. I have a 341 and had an A & L. The Blueridge is dead ringer for a Martin 0-16 NY'er. Which I can compare side by side. The A & L is like a entry level early Sears guitar. Same goes for the sound quality. Blueridge being ten and the A & L a one.
I have the same guitar (check on my videos) Lag 4 seasons primavera bought in China for 160.-€ new with a Shadow LC5 pick up. Nice sound and easy to play blues on.
The blue ridge parlors are supposed to be nice. I can't find one to try. I play country blues on an Art and Lutherie Ami (A Canadian company, make them in Quebec), cedar top version and it's ideal. Not to mention cheap! They come in spruce or laminated cherry too.
Maybe you can check the setting of the cam... there's just a big distortion in the sound. If that doesn't help well, maybe you need a better mic/cam :P
Any way, I'm looking for a parlor guitar too, and have my eyes on the Blueridge parlor series.
I will show the cords and the left hand soon ...thanks for posting

I found out that the so called Soundhole inlays on Seasons Models can be just a fotoprint!
I informed the Magazine" Akustik Gitarre "of germany and the agreed to that!
LAG was forced to change all adverts for their acoustic guitars!
Still all existing LAG acoustics should be inspected for that before you buy one.

merci for posting,
I liked the blues lessons on your LAG a lot!
It even sound similar to mine.
Congratulation for the bargain price.
(but I didn`t travel that far to get mine)
or did you get it by internet ?

Hey Rhytmiker, no I bought it China. I am French and I live there.
But I like the song you played. Sounds really cool. Can you make a video lesson out of it?
On my lessons the guy playing is Jimy Graham not me. He is my best friend here and a real bluesman. I am not that good :)

The sound quality is very poor... I can't estimate the quality of the sound! Maybe upload a better version?
RaggedTime 4 years ago
sorry for that sound quality!
Its been recorded with a SONY mini dv cam in a distance of 70 cm. Any idea how to improve the recording quality
without using the gutars build in picup system?
The guitar sounds lovely and is enjoyable to play and it costs 299.-€ new.
It has a shadow four plus pickupsystem wich is also working good on stage.
My intention was to help fingerpickers to make another choice when searching for a
new parlor guitar.
