I noticed she is slurring some of the fast stuff that is written to be bowed independently (at least in the version I have and how it is done by some better players) and I agree it is a little bit slow. Still, it is much better than I can do so bravo.

Yes. Yo-Yo is Chinese. Although he was born in Paris and then moved to New York, he can still speak mandarin really good. His parents are great!

And Yo-Yo is the best for sure-both in personality and cello skills!

amazing, i just got a new cello case and this piece was inside! its mostly written in demi semi quavers, thats 8 times as fast as a normal note, amazing technique there!

I like your interpretation very much because you are one of the few cellists who take the tempo specification 'moderato' literally. Taking it a bit slower makes room for many musical details, expression, and there is no rush. Many cellists play it as if it were an 'allegro appassionato'. And it sounds light and natural. My compliments, and please go on posting your recordings!
